Yep, it's odd, many are marketed as kids books, but are perfect for many adults too, myself being one of them. I tend to gravitate lately toward space related, but science, history, art and nature also appeal very heavily.
I just snatched a copy of this DK (Dorling Kindersley) book on Classic cars. Consistent with every other DK book that I've encountered, the quality is outstanding. Clear and concise text, and some awesome photography. At better than 300 pages, it's just crammed to the rafters with cool automotive "stuff".
(I was unsure of exactly where to put this, so this section of the forums, seemed good enough.)
One more that I'd forgotten about, the funky anime boxing of the Hasegawa 1:32 N1K2 George. Same great basic kit, but I'll have to source decals elsewhere, as I certainly won't be doing this weird version. This, the Skyraider and the Typhoon above, were review samples sent to me.
Me too. I've accumulated a startling amount of stuff in the last year or two, despite my attempts to severely limit my purchases. Real nice. Model railroading is something that always fascinated me, but I absolutely don't have the space for it now, and probably never will.
Yep, mine was purchased from an uncle that had bought it brand new, so it was in excellent shape when I got it. Unfortunately, after a few years of little or no maintenance, it started to fall apart, and looked pretty ratty when it finally got towed to the bone yard.
Today, for the second time, a brand new flash drive stopped working properly. I keep getting a "write protected" message, when the drive is most certainly not write protected.
I'm real big for older movies, for the most part preferring them to a lot of newer stuff. Ben-Hur, The long hot summer, Cool Hand Luke, On the waterfront, To kill a mockingbird, my list is almost endless.
