  1. Thanks Guys, truck is finished
  2. Thanks Dan, I got the hood and grill lined up and mounted. I forgot to mention I ground the tabs off the frame that the interior tub is designed to sit on. the cab is sitting on the front and rear cab mounts, the tabs raised the cab throwing the fender alignment off.
  3. nice el camino
  4. license plates will finish the rear of the cab.
  5. the front fenders, radiator, brace and hoses were added. a black sharpie was used to outline front and rear glass.
  6. that's a great idea Jim as the grill is wider than the fender opening. I did get the air cleaner mounted and trimmed the roof with painted lights and horns. the decals are from the chevy crew chief kit.
  7. had a good day. got the window glass put in, installed the interior, mounted the cab and hooked up the intake piping and steering linkage. blinged the door handles, painted the heat shield.
  8. turned out nice
  9. Thanks Brian, got some paint on the body and interior.
  10. no problem Dan. the radiator supports are too high making the hood run uphill to the grille as seen in the profile picture. so I trimmed them off lowering the radiator shroud, also had to trim the bottom of the radiator and grill to get everything level. now everything lines up except the right fender joint. fenders about ready for paint.
  11. this is my favorite truck build that has been posted, well done sir. even the images have the correct feel.
  12. beautiful build
  13. by glueing the fender extension to the cab, it throws off the hood alignment. the fender doesn't swing all the way down to where it is parallel with the chassis. to fix that with some filing, the fender and extension don't line up right. I would rather have the fender off than the hood.
  14. I have found out that AITM makes a narrower front axle for this kit. it is too late for me to swap mine out, so I will be using the kit wheels and tires. If I went with bigger tires they would foul with the tie rod ends, I got the cart before the horse. Anybody building this kit I would recommend ordering an axle and save yourself the headache. that way you have the option of bigger tires.
  15. Clayton the kit is a new reissue, Thanks Brian.
