  1. Thank you Dan ! Be Well Gator
  2. Thank you ! It didn't take much to convince me to go with the real wood ! Be Well Gator
  3. I built this kit many years ago . And I survived several moves in the last 8 yrs . I pulled this ERTL metal chassis Volvo out of a storage bin . It was a bit worse for wear. Having suffered a broken front axle . I repaired the front axle, put the mirrors and other bits back on . The lowboy is a modified AMT lowboy . It has a real wood deck .
  4. Just redid the back of this KW . removed the AMT Box body . Built a flat bed out of an AMT flat bed kit. Be Well Gator
  5. Got some more work done on this project. Went with a real wood load deck , and a diamond plate goose neck deck . Still need things like tie down loops and marker lights and some weathering . Be Well Gator

  15. Thanks guys for your comments . Things have slowed on this project. trying to get enough tires the same size . I still need to make tie down loops . I have painted the plastic wood grained decking. But I may go with real wood ??? Not really trying to do anything spectacular. Just to build a decent looking trailer for some heavy iron. Also have many other trailer projects in progress . Just rehabbed an ERTL GD extendable trailer . Just need a couple of bits to call it done . Also have a stretched gravel trailer in the paint shop . WIll be taking some photos when I get some of these projects finished . Be Well Gator

  21. About a month ago . ipulled out one of the old AMT lowboy kits. The box actually had two kits in it . So wanting to do something a bit different. I decided to modify this one a bit. I stretched the goose neck about a half inch . Then cut the rear of the load deck off at the angle . And then added about 3/1/2 inches . The rear was built per kit instructions. Some photos of the beginning of the build Be Well Gator
  22. Dan, I like what you are doing here. If I read your post correctly. You are using some of the old KFS low loader stuff along with the newer version . Am I correct on that ? I have two complete sets of the original low loader . Those modules require a bit of work to clean up and fit properly. But worth the effort. Yours are looking good ! Be Well Gator
