  2. Brayden, This looks good thus far! What kind of trailer are you going to put behind it? Box or flatbed? Be Well Gator
  3. That is just way cool! I like all the little improvements in your weathering. Spot on. Be Well Gator
  4. Looks interesting. I like old pick em ups! And today's style of building them just adds to ones options. Be Well Gator
  5. Ira, It always seems to move faster once you get some paint on a build. You've done a lot of neat stuff on this one. It is one crazy build but I love it. The colors are looking good. Be Well Gator
  6. Ben, The kit is not listed on the website! I just sent a inquiry via e=mail. i hope you get things worked out. Be Well Gator
  7. OH I understand where you got your ideas from! I grew up watching the likes of Tommy Ivo and mickey Thompson build and race multi engine dragsters and salt flat racers. I think they are cool. That is like back in the day one of the motors of choice was the big Lincoln motor. "Son your going to drive me to drinkin. If ya don't stop drivin that hotrod Lincoln!". I say go for it two engines three or even four. i like what you got going on here! Be Well Gator
  8. Steve, Having a machine shop at your disposal is like worth a lot. A lot depends on your skill level with the machines. But the possibilities are endless. i am still trying to figure out this build. You have my attention. Now git busy! :-) lol Be Well Gator
  9. Terry, I knew you were good. But those two models are just sick! ;-) Great imagination and creativity. I wonder what you will use for a drive shaft on the side by side?? And the transmission???? Be Well Gator
  10. Dennis aka Tesla, we have traded different items and ideas. He is a straight shooter and a knowledgeable and talented builder! Be Well Gator
  11. That looked good when you first built it. And the rebuild looks good as well. I like the red. Be Well Gator
  12. Tory, Actually to make it is quite simple. And to answer your question. that or similar systems are used to this day on fuel and service truck to secure the barrels. I think you can handle the task. go for it! Be Well Gator
  13. Ray, That is really great that you have your first truck model and could restore yet again. I think it looks pretty dang good from here! Be Well Gator
  14. Ben, Once I decided to attempt to obtain one of these kits. I went to their websites, Sent Heinz an e-mail. I received a reply the next morning. As I had a couple of things I needed to do. I wrote him back asked him to hold a kit for me for a couple of days. he agreed. ( I needed to open a Paypal account and also establish a mailing address. Where we live here in the Philippines, there are no street numbers or names and no house numbers, so I rented a P.O. Box ) All of that taken care of. I notified him I was ready to complete our transaction. He sent me the info I needed. I made the Paypal payment. Now the package is in the postal system. My question to you is. Did you use Paypal? Have you tried to contact him regarding the matter? I would contact him again. I will let you know when the package arrives. Be Well Gator
  15. Stephen, When you said Milk truck. I thought it would be like a Divco or something similar. But I find you are building a Milk tanker. That is cool. And that Freightliner cab is a great choice! Be Well Gator
  16. Terry, You are really doing a good job detailing the little things. I wish I had that much patience! Your models look good up close. Mine look good from 5 to 8 feet away!! lol Keep up the good work. Be Well Gator
  17. David, I for one.Understood completely what you were doing .With the photos and explanation of the error. I have just purchased this kit.And waiting for it to arrive here. And I am also following your build thread very closely. As you build at a higher level of detail than I do. But one can always learn. Thanks for your post and this build thread. Be Well Gator
  18. When the counterfeiters post the kit on Ebay they usually use the original box art. And the previous heavy haul truck looked very similar. But what ever. there are many unscrupulous people in the world. As for drive the truck and trailer backwards through town. i wouldn't know. I am in the Philippines , not Europe. But yes the trucks have been built to heavy haul specs within the scope of vehicle restrictions in Europe. While I am not a big fan of the Euro cabovers. I do like these heavy haul units. Be Well Gator
  19. Cool build and good looking weathering! Be Well Gator
  20. David, That is some real fine detail work you are doing. Be Well Gator
  21. Ken, Those battery boxes look really good.Bright and shiney. Be Well Gator
  22. I like that suspension as well. That would make another nice casting to sell, as a small kit to modify a chassis. Be Well Gator
  23. Ben, I do not think it is that the pieces are poorly done.. I just read a detailed post in the Model truck World Forum. Concerning this very issue. What it boils down to.Is a mistake in the instructions. And now that it has been pointed out. I do not see a problem. And yes I do have one of these kits enroute to me. I am looking forward to receiving this kit. As I know the box weighs in around 3 kilos. That is a lot of plastic resin and photo etch! Be Well Gator
  24. JT, When I first saw the add for this model.I started saving for it. Normally I couldn't do a purchase like that. But like my wife here ( who supports my hobby , but has a slight problem with the number of kits and things. She just does not understand) .I only have a couple more kits I want. And the rest will be aftermarket parts. And I will have to plan those purchases as well. The price everyone is quoting is for those people in Europe. They have to pay the VAT tax. Anyone outside of Europe does not pay that tax. 1So mine cost about $120.00 and then the shipping to the Philippines was $45.00.don't know about Customs yet. IT should be about 10% of the purchase price. Last night I received notification that my model was in the mail. I do not remember the exact weight . But it is somewhere around three kilos or 6.6 pounds. That is a lot of model!! Be Well Gator
  25. I do not think that was this kit. There was a similar model released a few years ago. And someone cloned it ( poorly I might add) and was selling them on E-bay. I almost bought one from a gy in Australia. But I had heard about the clone and when he told me the price I opted out of the deal. As for this kit. Mine is on the way. Was mailed yesterday. So i will know sometime next week . I must say my dealings with Heinz in the purchase of this kit. Were excellent. I will be buying from him again. To scratch build or kit bash one of there trucks would be fun. I have thought about doing an American phantom version From what I have seen. ( I am making a W. A.G here) Adding another front steering axle is not a real problem. And I might even do a 8X8. That would be one heavy duty truck! The tower behind the cab usually hold fuel tanks, air tanks ,a possible auxilary power unit and possibly the air cleaner canisters, and also might hold a transmission cooler. I doubt that it would be that hard to cobble something together that would look the part. Be Well Gator
