  1. Pavel, Right off the top of my head .I think it worked out to about $40.00 US. What is going to hurt is the Customs charges on this end. I found out this afternoon. That the lowboy kit and the wheels and tires from KJ .Will cost me about $60.00 US in Customs fees. But hey! I wanted it and now it will be here in a couple of days. Be Well Gator
  2. Hey guys, I just a little while ago made my PayPal payment to Heinz . I have never dealt on Evilbay, nor do I intend to start. if I can not get it direct from the source. Or a trusted friend. I just will not get it. If you want one of these kits I suggest you go to his website and send him a e-mail. That is what I've done. i do not know how many if any he has left. You will have to ask him. I do know that according to Mick Gannon of M&G he has the correct front fender and body mount. But as it comes from Heinz it is still a great kit and from what I understand will be somewhat of a challenge to build. Well I will be finding out one way or the other! As far as kit bashing one goes. You could try it. But you will most likely not be able to reproduce the kit as issued. You could or would be able to build something very similar in appearance. And I may use a different Euro kit and aftermarket parts to do something like that. Be Well Gator
  3. Jim, You are correct. I was thinking of the LNT. Be Well Gator
  4. Jonah, The short frame for the tractor , was for the mail truck and short box trailers ,either in single or double hook up. The next size would most likely be for the dump/snowplow version. And the longest would be for the flatbed or city delivery box van. the two longer frames could be either for single or dual axles. So what are you looking to build? Be Well Gator
  5. I got an e-mail from Heinz this morning. And I believe he is holding a kit for me .Until I send him mailing address. Which will be this evening. Went into town today and rented a P.O.box in Dumagete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. So I will know in the am if I will be getting one of those kits. Be Well Gator
  6. Now that is an interesting and unique project! And that wheel looks great. Be Well Gator
  7. OK I like it ! It would make a good get to work truck for a construction worker! Be Well Gator
  8. Lol, you glued the rear glass in? omg no problem.! A couple of strips of bass wood and some thread would make a decent rack. Or if you have one of the Hasegowa 1967 VW type 2 van kits. There is a resin copy of the old Aloha racks. That would probally fit with a little work. Aloha racks were the rack of choice back in the day. Be Well Gator
  9. That is a great looking build so far! I really like your rust treatment. And the topper shell looks really good! Be Well Gator
  10. I like what I see thus far! I will be following this thread closely,As I have a kit in mind to do the same sort of treatment. Be Well Gator
  11. Pat, I like what I see here! Keep up the good work! Be Well Gator
  12. I received a reply from Heinz this morning. So I am well on the way to obtaining one of these kits. A big thanks to Heinz for his quick reply! Be Well Gator
  13. Well I sent them a e-mail this morning.time will tell. I sure would like to get one of those kits! Be Well Gator
  14. I have one of the 2674's dump trucks in the stash! I don't remember where I got it or what I paid for it. And I had the tractor version I sold to a friend twenty plus years ago. After looking at the kit.Which is open but sealed inside. And the decals are cracked. I have decided I want the dump body. But might trade the truck itself . For something??? Would not be looking for an outrageous amount for it! Open to suggestions guys. Be Well Gator
  15. Pat, If I remember correctly. I have just forced the tires onto the rims on any of the builds of kits from that company. yes you might try warming the tire up a bit. but then they may be too hot to handle. You could also try putting the rims in the freezer?? but they might become too brittle?? If your wheels are already n[ainted you might try some virgin coconut oil or something organic. Once the tires are on. You can wash them in warm soapy water. Oh and I really like the idea of the KFS crane on a paystar! Be Well Gator
  16. Dayum, That looks pretty good. I think I needs a couple of old style long boards . But you have a great looking woodie wagon there! Be Well Gator
  17. Pat, You are doing a super clean build on the KFS crane. And I am sure you will put it on something a little bit bigger and more appropriate! The Effer crane is not a bad kit. A little planning is required ie painting etc. But i know for me. It works better on the Dodge. As for the Forums being expensive???? lol But yes I do agree to an extent. My problem with the Forums is I spend more time on them then I do at the workbench! That is why I bowed out of a couple, and there are a couple more I only check weekly. They are rather slow anyway. I hope to have my workbench somewhat set up very soon. Be Well Gator
  18. Terry, I really like what you have going on here! The large access hole is cool. Not something I was used to seeing. Be Well Gator
  19. Pat, To be brutally honest. Yes!! I think the KFS crane is too big. I think the Effer Crane from the Italeri parts kit would be a better fit. But not to take away from the work you are doing here. The crane kit looks great. And you are doing a nice neat job on it! Personally I would put it on a little heavier duty truck myself. Like a Ford C-cab with 6X6 drive and a flatbed and the crane!! :D Be Well Gator
  20. Amazing work there David! Be Well Gator
  21. Dayum that is way cool! Sam have fun with that. And be sure to post lots of photos of the whole truck for us! Be Well Gator
  22. That is looking good. I will be watching for your next update. Be Well Gator
  23. Andy, You are doing a great job on this project. Your weathering is coming along nicely. Your cab looks good. Be Well Gator
  24. Tory, great looking wrecker you have here! To secure the barrel.I would suggest a ratchet strap! Or you could make a homemade tie down using a flat piece of plastic across the top of the barrel. And some round rod with a hook bent into the bottom end going down to a hook pocket on the floor.??? Hope this makes sense to you. For a good idea of what I am talking about .Look at the grease and oil drums on the back of a heavy equipment lube truck.. Be Well Gator
  25. Totally awesome build! I like it a lot. Be Well Gator
