  1. Greetings Everyone, Not much happening with this project right now. Working on drawing up the plans for the automatic tailgate and tarp systems. As well as the framework for the dump bed and how it will attach to the truck chassis. Be Well Gator
  2. X's 2 Love the two tone paint job. Just wondering about a company logo ? What are you going to do? Construction company? Drilling company? Pipeline outfit? Be Well Gator
  3. Franck, That looks very nice ! Be Well Gator
  4. Awesome paint job. Love the color combo and the graphics !! Be Well Gator
  5. Aaron, Nice work thus far ! Have you resolved you tire issues? An alternative for the ERTL lug tires. You might look at the two piece tires from the older Revell kits. I think that they achieve that older tire look you seek. I am using them on a couple of my projects. And then there is always AITM , I don't think their tires look too new. Especially if mounted on spoke rims. The other thing you may want to consider. Would be adding a stinger to the rear of the truck chassis. Be Well Gator
  6. Sam, Please accept our condolences and prayers on the loss of your grandfather. Looks like you are getting organized and have a good start on this project. I like the Carolina red and black. As I drov e for them a few times working off the bench , in Miami back in the late 70's. B-61 with a duplex . Be Well Gator
  7. Gino, Very nice work thus far! i like what I see here. Be Well Gator
  8. Nice little ( sic ) project ! I am sure that you are a happy camper.having found those parts that went awol. Like Sean my eyes and fingers hurt just looking at those small parts. Be Well Gator
  9. Jean, Congratulations on your awards. Your models look truly fantastic. And bring back memories from my younger years. I remember seeing this vehicle or one very similar at a car show . And I always liked that Mercury wagon! Be Well Gator
  10. Gino, I like that ! Basic black and a red interior. Great combination. Be Well Gator
  11. X's 2 That is a good looking color combo And I plan to use that same variety on future builds. Your paint job looks pretty good ! Be Well Gator
  12. Adam, that is one really fine looking model and display base. You must have put a lot of time and thought into the build. I like it !! Be Well Gator
  13. Jesus, Looks like a pretty good start on the chassis. Be Well Gator
  14. Now that is going to be a sharp looking paint scheme and kinda old school as well. but i was really liking your original monotone paint job. Which is something I am going to do on a couple of projects in the future. Be Well Gator
  15. Sean, Too bad about paint thing. We've all been there more than once. But I do like your color combination. And will be looking forward to see the final paint job. Be Well Gator
  16. Now that looks really clean ! Excellent job on the trailer build. That is one very sharp looking rig!! Be Well Gator
  17. Matt, I like your motor. That will be a beast. A suggestion on the motor . Why not just add a thin piece of plastic to the front mount and have the motor sit at a very slight angle??? That way you are not going to weaken the chassis. Be Well Gator
  18. A big X's 2 The visor looks great. yes it needs to be thinned down a bit. but the idea works because you made it work. now if yopu can just do the visor brackets and match the corners of the visor material ???? that would be neater than cornflakes ! lol On the headlight housing. Why not try cutting the fender in mounting the headlight that way ? Kinda like Frenching the housing ! You have this one going on Darren!! Be Well Gator
  19. That will make a real nice project .When you get roun to it! Be Well Gator
  20. Jon, Nice job on the decking ! Is that balsa or basswood? Be Well Gator
  21. Tom, Your two tone paint job came out looking really good ! Won't be long now till you wrap this one up and post it under glass. Be Well Gator
  22. That grill is really nice ! I think it was a good idea to change it. Not that the other grill looked bad. Be Well Gator
  23. Dennis, I am pleased to see you are back at the bench! That looks like it will be an interesting build. Which you know I will follow. Be Well Gator
  24. Darren, I was thinking more centered on the fender and mounted a little bit lower. Like where the pointed part would be centered and just above the bumper???? Be Well Gator
