  3. Dan, you have this project looking really good. But you really need to try to make that flapper that Sean suggested. This truck is crying out for that little extra touch. Be Well Gator

  14. Darren, Your bamboo looks like it will work for the bed rails ! I also like your idea to use the visor that you made and cut it out and insert the patterned paper. Maybe you could match the outline of the roof cutout??? ;-)) Be Well Gator
  15. Dan , You have this project looking real good . Be Well Gator
  16. I have had the chrome on some of my real old built models do that. But I doubt the chrome is changing colors. That binder I believe was molded in red at one time. I also lived in Florida a very humid place. and had no A/C. I don't no what the actual shinney surface is but the base coat is like shellac. Be Well Gator
  17. Clayton, Congrats on the new ride ! I think it looks pretty good. And you got a raise with the new ride. man dude you be rockin ! Be Well Gator
  18. Darren, I am pleased that you like the idea for the visor brackets . You could even do the whole visor with that patterned paper. If anyone can carry it off ? It is you! OH your idea for the inside of the doors and pick up bed sound cool, Over here, They do a lot of wall covering , using split bamboo. Sometime they use a torch to color the joints and add some texture or depth the the project. They also use a product called Amican witch is thin strips of bamboo woven into a mat in different patterns. The Amican is used aa a wall covering on houses inside and out sometimes it gets varnished, or possibly polyurethane. Be Well Gator

  23. Regardless of the scale. That is one very good looking Peterbilt. and it fits well into your stated time period. Love the paint scheme and colors! Be Well Gator
  24. Darren, I really like the map on the interior of the cab. That looks cool. The visor is a great idea as well . For brackets you might take some of the filigreed paper andsuper glue a couple of matching pieces together. And then us some plastic underneath where is won't show. Hope that makes sense??? lol Be Well Gator
