  5. Well it has been awhile, but with things here finally slowing down a bit I have finally been able to put some more time in on the '56. A club menber told me the other day that the tops of the fenders were wrong and that they should not have a peak to them. So after I did some research I found out that the guy was right, so I had to sand down the peaks off the fenders. going some cleanup on the inside front fender wells too. http://Hosted on Fotki
  6. Wow, looks good. Keep going.
  7. Wow I'm really digging this. Can't wait to see more. I got my coffee and watching this, what color are you going to paint it?
  8. I picked up this kit s couple of weeks ago. I worked on it while my club was running The Bob Paeth Classic Model Car Contest at the Portland Roadster Show. It is a good kit to work on, You do have some cleanup mold lines, a little flash, not to be expected with a kit of this vintage, but we are model builders right? I am building mine as a taildragger (love the white walls). You do need to pay some attention to the suspension to get it to look right, just take your time and enjoy the build.
  9. Thanks for the kind words all. Sorry about no updates here, I've been down with a bug but starting to feel better. Hope to post again real soon.
  10. Thanks for the feedback guys, it is appriciated. Dave I had to do the same thing, I used the 56 Nomad interior because I thought that it looked better. I had to carefully do some grinding insode tp get the interior, chassis and all to fit and sit just right.
  11. here is an update, a shot of the interior and chassis sub-assemblies. Hosted on Fotki">http://Hosted on Fotki Also the engine Hosted on Fotki
  12. My first post here, This 56 I have started 2 years ago, blew the paint job so after a trip to Easy Off oven cleaner land I am taking another shot at this. Body is from Modelhaus but I modified the side trim to put a 56 Del Ray sweep on the back half. It is for a blues musician friend of mine. Hope you like it. http://Hosted on Fotki
  13. I'm new here but I have been following this for a bit. Personally I can't wait until this comes out. My only wish is that eventually can we get an accurate stock Model A 5 window coupe body and please at stock roof height, I prefer to chop the roof on my own (no offense to anyone). When this does come out I'm planning on getting several.
  14. Jon, What ever is fine with me, actually I live in Tigard but I'm on border between Portland & Tigard, close enough for me at least. Thanks all for the welcome, going through how to post, hope to get something up here soon.
  15. Thanks for the welcome y'all. Hope to post something as soon as my camera recharges.
  16. Exotic Builder, probibly because we've ran into each other at something lately. Jarius, it took so long probibly because I was preoccupied or something like that, :-)
