For my 2 cents worth, I really would like to see: 1967-72 Chevrolet C10 Pickup 1950’s-72 Dodge Pickup any pre war (1930’s-40) Chevrolet or Mopar Coupe. way to go Moebius & Round2 how about opening the vault and bring back some of those 3/1 kits or restore the 1965 Fairlane back to stock. keep up the good work.

30 Ford model A---- resin
carnut replied to crazypainter's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Norm Verber’s ‘30/‘31 Model A is the best I’ve seen and it is accurate as far as I’m concerned. I would go ahead and send him an email and ask if it is still available, you never know. -
I have done the same thing, I have done it to the Bel Air Sedan. The roof on the two door and four door are similar. they both look very good. You did an excellent job.

32 Plymouth Coupe body, Fremont Racing returns?
carnut replied to GaryR's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I am curious about the '32 Plymouth Coupe as well, by the time I had heard of this vendor he had just stopped. So if anyone does have information on Early Racing Classics stuff, I would be most interested. -
From what I just saw from Tom Geiger, I'm going to have to get a couple of these. I personally like the old school customs (or is that kustoms). As far as the more modern seats I'm finding many uses for them as well. I'm working on a Pro Touring right now and with a little modifying both front and back seats are working out.

I have chopped a few of the 1940 Ford Coupes. It looks good so far, keep it going.

1984 Custom Cadillac (California Wheels Edition) By Revell
carnut replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
If this is a re-issue then the interior should get you close to a stock appearance. Hope so at least, any word on that? -
This is wild, it is one of those "now why didn't I think of this". really cool

Hi all, I thought that I would jump in on this but not to stur the pot. I picked up this kit a few weeks ago and started to look it over. First off thank you Tim for an excellent review (I did go to your Fotki site it was worth the time). I have just started mine, I am just beginning to do a kit review for my club's newsletter here in Portland Oregon (SABA-NW). I will let y'all know how it goes when I'm done. It will be a straight build, which is different for me since I generally don't build right out of the box and besides it is also a bit out of my wheelhouse. I have started some of the sub assemblies and a little finessing is needed here and there on some places but nothing unsurmountable. I will post up some stuff later in the Workbench section soon. Have a good day all.

I was hoping that someone would have gained access to a real '30 Model A coupe and take some measurements. Still it might be worth picking up for parts, at least I still have one of Norm Verber's coupe to work with still ?. By the way, thanks guys for looking into this, now I know what I am up against when I do tear into one hopefully soon.

Well, l finally got my replacement kit, I gave my first one away to a kid last weekend. This kit looks like it will sell well. The roof looks a bit odd, but that might be just me. If the roof is just a bit off it is very fixable. cant wait to tear into this. Moonshine runner.

Once again thanks Tim for an excellent review, I can't wait till it gets to my area. I finally saw one at my club's meet this last Sunday evening, it looks great it will sell well. There are a few things but not any biggie. It looks like a good starting point for building a traditional rod. Better do your homework though.

Thanks Tim on a great in-depth review, like just about everyone else I appreciate your reviews and such. Also like everyone else I have project(s) planned for this. Question: how accurate is the existing Revell '30 sedan specifically the fenders, will they fit the new coupe body with no problems? My plan is for a late 50's-early 60's version with a set of fenders if possible. I guess that I will know in a few weeks when I get one here in my area. Thanks
-
My sincere apologies Mike, I hope I didn't offend. Thank you for pointing it out. I for one can't wait to dig into this kit.
-
To my knowledge no one has posted any photos yet and yes it initially looks like it can be built stock but you would have to get into the kit and see. I only took a quick look when I got the kit last night. It looks like it is just stock components in the kit.
-
I just snapped mine up last night on my way home from work from my LHS. Mike you are correct the front part of the roof is a bit too flat but it is fixable easily enough we're model builders, right but I wish that Revell would have got it right. By the way is there a way for me to share photos from my iPhone? I have some photos of the kit.
-
I really like this kit, yes the Revell versions (standard coupe and deluxe convertible) are more accurate. But the AMT's are more fun in my opinion. I do wish that someone would do a 1940 Ford Woodie, that would be cool.

Fixing a Bird (or There He Goes Again!)
carnut replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Thanks for showing the fixes, I have a few of the AMT 68 & 69's and I always suspected that there was something off. I do agree that the Johan 69 Roadrunner is more accurate. I think I will bookmark this so I can fix the AMT 68 & 69's that I have, hope you don't mind. I'm was a bit curious about the comments with regards to the AMT 58 Plymouth that you also mentioned. Besides the side trim I thought that the side window shape looked a little funny towards the back as it slopes down and the fender tops. I just did a search and did a quick read up on fixing a few of the issues there as well. Nice work. Of course my '58 will be a custom, the interior will adapt itself to that very well. Keep up the good work. -
Oh man this looks cool, I like the old school approach that you are going with this. Can't wait to see what suspension and engine your going to go with. Keep it going.?

Thanks for the confirmation Don, much appreciated.

I like the direction on this Dennis, as usual it is up to your usual standards. Personally I would go ahead and use the Moon tank, it seams to balance the car out.
