  1. As soon as I can get my new computer up and running (real soon) I will do a copy paste into a word document or something like it. thanks for the advice.
  2. Thanks for showing the fixes, I have a few of the AMT 68 & 69's and I always suspected that there was something off. I do agree that the Johan 69 Roadrunner is more accurate. I think I will bookmark this so I can fix the AMT 68 & 69's that I have, hope you don't mind. I'm was a bit curious about the comments with regards to the AMT 58 Plymouth that you also mentioned. Besides the side trim I thought that the side window shape looked a little funny towards the back as it slopes down and the fender tops. I just did a search and did a quick read up on fixing a few of the issues there as well. Nice work. Of course my '58 will be a custom, the interior will adapt itself to that very well. Keep up the good work.
  3. Oh man this looks cool, I like the old school approach that you are going with this. Can't wait to see what suspension and engine your going to go with. Keep it going.?
  4. Thanks for the confirmation Don, much appreciated.
  5. I like the direction on this Dennis, as usual it is up to your usual standards. Personally I would go ahead and use the Moon tank, it seams to balance the car out.
  6. I picked up the California Sunshine version of the Datsun pickup a few years ago, nice kit. I was not too interested in the monster truck version until I realized that I can use the front grill assembly from the monster truck and maybe convert the California Sunshine version into a cool dropped down stock looking truck. Question did the California Sunshine version still have the 4 cylinder engine? My version is in storage.
  7. Great review, I will now have to get it?
  8. Just looking at the straight profile shot, the top of the roof looks too flat. still, can't wait until it comes out.
  9. Man you absolutely nailed the chop and the direction your going with this looks good too. I've chopped a couple of these and this technique will work with most Ford, Chevy and Plymouth coupes as well as any turret style roof with a few modifications. keep going on this.
  10. Yes indeed, Merry Christmas everyone be safe out there and enjoy.
  11. Yup Ford guy, I have done that too, super easy to make aren't they.
  12. These also show up in the Revell-Monogram 1939 Chevy Coupe and Sedan Delivery. However like what was mentioned earlier some aluminum tubing will yield a Thrush style glass pack, I have done it several times. Just cut a piece to length and sleeve it over another piece that is smaller diameter and longer than your larger diameter piece.
  13. I have been watching this build and I got to say is wow well done. I have a 69 Corvair that I am making into a convertible that I am going to have to get back to. really great build.
  14. Dennis, this is totally cool. As usual this is one your best.
  15. Hey, nice start of your custom '53. I think you will get past the setbacks. I use rattle cans and very so often a paint job will flop. Keep at it and have fun with this, it looks like I need to get started on my 53 custom Ford coupe.
  16. It looks like you did a fine job on those, I am interested. As far as no interest I can only speak for myself, I am rather busy with other things.
  17. Does anybody know if the rear wheel wells are stock or as Revell "helped" us again with making them bigger? Also a set of stock fenders would be nice.
  18. Yeah why not, something like it.
  19. Mike, I agree I will make corrections to it when I use it in an AMT 49 Ford Coupe project that I'm planning.
  20. Hey, you can always build it into a rod or custom. Just a thought.
  21. Hopefully they will at least fix the inline 6, has anyone taken a close look at the engine block?
  22. Man Gregg, thanks for the photo of the parts layout. I going to have to get probably 2 of these, build one as an old school chopped custom. I know the front grill looks flat which is workable I am wondering about the front edge of the trunk line, is it correct? It looks a bit curved to me. I am not trying to stir up trouble here, just curious. thanks again to all who had their hand in putting this out.
  23. I like it Gregg, Agreed, it is now on my gotta build list. Chopping the roof on this will be easy it is a turret top, refer to Tex Smith's book "How To Chop Tops". again thanks Gregg for the build up.
  24. Looking good there, I just might have to get one of these.
