  1. Whatever day you get it done will be fathers day dude. Thumbs up
  2. That looks great in every aspect man. Nice! What do you mean by pre-production?
  3. Simply great finish quality. It really does look like bare metal.
  4. Sharp and clean. And the guns came with the kit?

  6. Dude you wanna tow that pickup out of there before any more trees grow and start restoring it before the rust gets worse.
  7. Now it's an abandoned custom van that someone either ran out of money on or died before finishing. Looks great man. Your weathering is on point as always.
  8. I have no idea what I am looking at but I like where it's going.
  9. I wouldn't mind a stock Vega. It looks like the body that Holden australia used as a base for our LH, LX and UC torana hatches.
  10. Cracks, flash, warps and missing parts. All part of the game
  11. Dang it. You built those as kids and they STILL have a better paint job than I can get! Good work man.
  12. Its only worth a million if someone wants to pay that. It's just a car otherwise... lol Love the finish. The concept is different and well built. That shine though... perf.

  14. Love the colour scheme. Nice finish on her too. Those are pegasus wheels? I thought they only did ridiculously large mags? Those look awesome.
  15. Thanks for all the info peeps! I have talked to a guy that I bought a few kits off a couple weeks ago and he has an AMT 70 Monte Carlo with a 454 and auto in it so will get that from him. Then I can still build the kit later with one of my other engines. The 50 just really needs to be an auto! As for the 53 from revell, I have an early one of them and it has the 348 chev with a rather dodgy looking auto yes, and the 54 panel has the same engine/trans I believe but is stated as being a 409. But it still doesnt answer why AMT has stated they have an auto in the kit when it is clearly supplied with a muncie 4 speed?
  16. man that is a beautiful finish.
  17. Thanks for the reply Brett. Apparently the 37 ford kit has a small block with auto as well. I don't really want to have to buy a kit just to source the trans. And I have plans for the hemi already. Currently looking at resin sites. But still... AMT? P.S. Just looked at that megahobby site in your sig line. Wow.
  18. like seriously. I have about 20 engines in my parts box and apart from the dart auto, which would be a torque flight if I am not wrong and is no use mating to a chev, every other motor has a manual box behind it.
  19. Looking for an engine to use in my 50 Chev project, I rummaged through my parts boxes and found that the only motor I have with an auto on it is the hemi that came in the Dart kit. So I decided to see if I could pinch one from the full kits I have waiting for attention. Found AMT's 34 Street Rod that says it has a small block chev backed by a GM 700 R4 auto. BINGO!!! Here is what the write up on the instructions are: And here is a pic of the engine/trans in the kit: And here is what a GM 700 R4 actually looks like: So. WHY YOU DO THIS TO ME AMT??? I though we were friends
  20. +1
  21. This turned out great man. Love the concept and the build of each kit. I would definitely be tying them cars down though. The first time the truck take off them babies are gonna fall off the back!
  22. Thats a pretty wicked merc. Love to see a nice build in hot pink. And good on you for doing charity work. Excellent stuff.
  23. looking pretty good so far dude.
