  1. Nailed it dude. Very nice! Are those the kit springs?
  2. Fenders? We don't need no stinkin' fenders! Ace start buddy. Gonna be a nice build.
  3. looks pretty slick to me. Nice.
  4. Motor is looking great dude. One question though... October of which year? lol
  5. Beautiful. Congrats.
  6. Recommenced? How long has she been sitting for?
  7. Awesome job buddy. She looks perfect with the extra add ons. You could always post pics of the interior if you have any.
  8. Looking forward to the next installment.
  9. Another great tip! I think the best idea here is just to move in next door to you and then get you to do all the fiddly bits. Yep.
  10. Thanks Jim! Is there any concerns with the denaturated alcohol causing delamination? Is it compatible with the acrylic top coat clears from auto spray cans? If you saw the box I use to paint in you would scream... it is why I have so much crud flying around lol.
  11. Aww sorry to hear that Joe. Losing a furry friend is hard. Certainly leaves a hole in your life.
  12. holy cow. For a quickie that is outstanding. Better than my 'normal' builds! Very nice dude, very nice. That paint finish is spot on.
  13. Cheers Tim Bet yours didn't have a plethora of specks all over it! How on earth you guys get that liquid smooth and deep as look off the gun I have ZERO IDEA.
  14. Paint today... I kind of figured that the blue might just be cursed for this car, so instead of using the AutoAir, I have used my little jars of Tamiya. Decided to go with transparent red over the gold leaf colour, with a basecoat of black. I REALLY need to get some kind of booth as I have a lot of dust specks on the paint! And ABing the tamiya paints is rather different than what I am used to. It can go on wetter without fish-eyeing but is more likely to run. Still, a learning experience. I am going to let it gas out and cure for a couple days before I start the clear (and maybe add a little light jade Gem colour shift). This is how she looks at the moment. First was the X12 Gold Leaf, then just plain old X27 Clear Red.
  15. Thanks for looking in peeps. Currently checking and re-bogging the chop. All that time in a box had loosened a couple of joins. I am going to like seeing how this one comes out myself lol.
  16. Hey thanks for posting yours dude, it looks great! And thanks for everyones opinions/reviews. Liker I said, for $10 I wasn't going to say no to it. I am most interested in the expanse of plastic it has. I have a '54 chev panel but I have other ideas for that kit, so this one I want to actually airbrush murals on. And with slab sides like that, it will be perfect.
  17. So I am taking my time on the Chevelle re-paint this time. Two screw ups is enough! So while I let it gas out between coats and rubs I decided to start canoodling with this one again. So it is a rebuild/unfinished build that has been waiting patiently nearly 20 years to get finished. I will keep mostly to what I had planned back then, as the top is chopped and the tubs are done already. I think I may have the patience and possibly the skill now to do it credit (maybe). Currently re-doing the chassis so it looks better than the hack job I did back then. Will see where this old girl takes me... Here is some pics of the mock up. The chassis at stock height just doesn't do it with the mods and wheels, so I have figured out how I am going to lower it a bit more respectably. (I will bounce back and forward to this build between finishing off the chevelle. Like everyone else, I need some distraction while waiting for paint to dry! )
  18. Nice back story, and a cool project to do. The detailing impresses me hugely. Very nice dude.
  19. For a six year build I would have expected at least a couple of showgirls at the vehicles debut... Absolutely beautiful build man. Really outstanding. Awesome and clean finish. Be proud.
  20. Yep. Another engine that hits all the sweet spots. I know the carb is an after market item, but it kinda looks like a 1/16 scale to me! You have detailed it magnificently Jim
  21. you're smashing it dude. Gonna be epic.
  22. Looking fine as Jim. Those the metal pulleys you using again?
  23. Cool pics! I've never been to a model show. Thanks
  24. BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH I must have glazed over seeing this one in the New Content lists. Looking good man. Is this a smaller scale? There doesn't seem to be the same level of detail as your other bike build. You have some great skills making it look like a used and abused scooter though dude!
