  1. Class!! Right off the the back cover of Overdrive Magazine. Great work!!
  2. Not only the bigger trucks, but I've seen two of these v-6's in pickups. Both of the ones that I've seen were in 68 GMC's. This would definitely be a cool option, but if you're building vintage, especially a pickup bed 1/2 ton gas station wrecker, I personally would go with the straight six.
  3. Looking great!! Great work on the bumper too!! Can't go wrong with a cabover KW!!
  4. x2 You certainly have a way with KW's!!! Looks Awesome!!
  5. Thanks for the responses. From what I understand the Giesel was a big flop. I just wanted to replicate one in a White 9000 project for something different. From what I've read the Giesel should have the same dimensions as the 555. So, the 555 is about the same size as the 3208, right? I would really like to find some photos of the fuel and ignition set up on these engines. Thanks again!! Brian
  6. Thanks Rick! I'm still, though nothing started yet.
  7. I just received mine today. I prefer to build old iron. Most modern trucks don't thrill me very much, but that is simply my preference. I am very happy with the kit overall. Everything seems to look good. I personally even like the tires, but again that is my preference. It would have been nice to have some bulldog mirrors to use with some different brackets, but even at that I'm not going to complain. I'm glad to get the round tanks in this one. I personally was never a big fan of AMT's version of the split rim 10 hole wheels anyway, so the lack of them was not a disappointment for me. I'm glad to see Round 2 releasing these kits so that builders like myself can afford to build them.
  8. This is my kind of truck!! Great subject and great work!!
  9. Let me begin again saying this is an excellently done diorama! As far as the B and C Farmall goes there are some easily notable differences. The A, I-A, Super A, B, and BN were known as Cuti-Vision tractors. The driver seat was to the right of the tank and engine and the steering shaft ran down the right side. These tractors also had drop type or reduction gear axles in the rear, with usually 24" rims. I still have a 47 I-A. The C and Super C wasn't made with the driver seat mounted to the right, and the steering shaft ran down the left side. The rear axles on the C's were not drop axles either, they were direct with larger rims, looking similar to the axles on the H and M. Here is a picture taken by someone else of a C that belongs to someone I know taken in 09. Southeast Old Threshers Reunion Denton, NC July 1-5, 2008 031 by jdrammer, on Flickr
  10. Looks great!! The color of your B is weathered perfectly!! It looks to be a resin casting, where did you get it?
  11. I really like what you've come up with here! Great work!!!
  12. Top notch work!! I really like this build! I built one like the box art years ago, but it wasn't anywhere as nice as this one. It Looks Great!!
  13. Back around the late 60's, the White Truck Company converted a Cumminns 185hp Diesel v-8 to a gas engine and called it the Giesel. These were offered in the 9000 series. I am wanting to find some good pictures of one of these engines for a future project. I would also like to know how close in physical size they were to the 903. The dimensions of the Giesel are probably the same as the 555, but I'm not sure how they compare to the 903. Any help or info would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian
  14. Very nice work!! I can't say that I've ever seen one of those before.
  15. Top notch work!! The weathering is awesome!!
  16. That is exactly how we log in the south! Very nice work! I like this one!
