  1. WOW!! That looks nice!!
  2. Thanks guys!! Thanks JT! Great builders like yourself have been an inspiration to me. Thanks for the kind words! Thanks Ken!! That means a lot coming from a great builder such as yourself. Your interior work inspired me. The bumper is too thin. My thicker bumper interfered with the cab tilting and I couldn't make a brake on the thinner one that I was satisfied with. I may or may not change it later. Thanks again to everyone!!
  3. Thanks for all the help Jim. I received a call back from Bob today. He's a great guy to deal with. I hope to be purchasing several items from him in the future.
  4. Not yet. I knew that Dave hosted their site, but I thought that they were a separate business.
  5. Does anyone know if Illini Replicas is still in business? I sent an email and left a message and haven't heard anything. They still have items listed on A.I.T.M.'s website.
  6. Thanks Sam!! You've been an encouragement during this entire build!! I'm a sucker for steel wheels too. Of course, I almost put spokes on it all the way around speaking of steel wheels.
  7. Very nice!! Cool project!! Looking great!
  8. I thought that I was the only one that changed colors in the middle of a build due to unfortunate circumstances. L.O.L. It is looking great!! I like the paint!! The new color is great!!
  9. Thanks for the kind words guys!! I've put this one under glass.
  10. Looks Great Brian!! Great Work!! My kind of Peterbilt!
  11. Well it is finally finished except for window cranks and they're on the way. I want to say thank you to everyone that was an encouragement along the way. It is not perfect, but it is done! 12. Incredible Work!! You are an artist!!
  13. I know that it is a day after the original deadline, but since the contest doesn't exist anymore, I thought that I would post a few. I hope that it is okay. After all, this contest inspired this build. Let me say that it has been an honor to be associated with such great builders and builds while this contest lasted. Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement along the way!!
  14. Thanks11 Thanks Terry! I'm going to leave the wheels white. If it had not been for the contest this truck would have been a short single axle with Overnight decals. Since Clayton custom rigs in mind when he planned the calendar, I thought I would build something a little different than the usual. My idea was to try to combine the custom and the workhorse look as well as combining a little new with the old. Truthfully I'm ready to be finished with this one too. I'm still waiting for the window cranks to get here, but I'm calling this one finished. I'll be posting some pictures under glass.
  15. Thanks Terry!!! I think that I've got the interior wrapped up except for finishing the door panels I'm making stainless door panels. Grab irons installed. Passengers vent glass installed. Steering column and pedals installed.
  16. Very nice work!! I really like this one!! The color is just Perfect!! I can't say enough about this build!!
  17. I really like this one! A lot of nice details. Great work on the conversion!!
  18. Very Nice Project!! Excellent work and detail!! The Color choice is Great! I like it!!
  19. Nice Work so far and excellent subject!! I wish there were more model tractors out there!!
  20. Thanks for posting this Greg!! Now I think that I need one of these too!
  21. WOW!!! This thing is awesome!! You really nailed the trailer too!!! One of the first things that caught my eye was the Utility style landing gear that you made. It really looks authentic!! Excellent Work!! You truly are a craftsman!!
  22. Thanks for all of the kind words guys!! Well, I'm not going to make the original B.R.B.O. deadline, but I'm getting close to finished.
  23. Very nice work!! I like what you have came up with!! You have really captured the classic look!
  24. The 72 also offered the NH 230, NHC 250, NTC 290, NTC 335, and the V 903 Cummins, along with all of the Detroit options, but like Jim said, the sky is the limit unless you are wanting to build a replica of an original production model.
  25. Brian, this may not be the best way, but I usually take a picture and put it into a word program a play with it until I get the size that I want. I cover it with clear box tape after I have printed it. Looking great by the way!!!
