I know I'm the odd man, but I would like to see a 66 Plymouth Belvedere/ Satellite. This could be a variation of the 67 GTX. -

Guys thanks for all the comments and encouragement. This truck was inspired by my personal truck that I had back in the early 90's. Brand new Super Swampers actually had that flashing on the tread. We would spray Armorall on the entire underside of the truck along with the tires including the tread. It wasn't an off road vehicle by no means. That was before I had responsibilities though. -

The original Transtar kit (4070A) had them also. You can see them on the red and white cabover that I built under the heading post your cabovers. Thanks for all the comments, and encouragement. -

Sharp looking Freightliner Mark. That kit can be tricky, but you nailed it! -
I built this one about 16 years ago.

Road Boss
DRIPTROIT 71 replied to DRIPTROIT 71's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
The front wheels, steering axel, seats, mirrors, quarter fenders, and 3406 Cat are from the snap Pete kit. Two Road Boss kits provided 2 battery box steps, 2 long tanks, and extra frame length. Sleeper is resin and is cut out for walk through. -

They look taller than they really are. They are scaled out at 13ft. high. -
An 8v-71 or 12v-71parts pack with turbo options and manifold options would be nice. Cummins parts pack with intake and exhaust options would be nice. Transmission parts pack including the Fuller, Spicer 4x4, and the transmission and the auxiliary transmission from the W900 would be nice. Wheel sets would be nice too. Again just wishing!

Internet explorer must be my problem. Thanks for the help. -
This is a Road Boss that I finished last year. It is a little different take on an old workhorse. I tried loading these pictures with photobucket, but could not get it to work. Every time I followed the tutorial, but when I click OK in the image box the screen freezes every time. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate them.

No trailer yet. I stopped building models about 10 years ago. I got rid of most of my kits, my models, and the cabinet that they were in. I just started building again last year and haven't made room for trailers yet. However, I hope to soon. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement! -

All of the Cabovers posted are incredible! Mine do not compare, but here are a few that I have built over the years. -
Dodge Bighorn
DRIPTROIT 71 replied to DRIPTROIT 71's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
The kit comes with cab, hood, tanks, dash (had to be narrowed), and an assortment of panels that can be used for the interior (which worked quite well), but no glass. The cab was molded without window molding. I used round styrene to make window molding. For the front windshield, I then cut a channel behind the molding. I used clear lay film similar to the window glass in some model cars for the windows. It took several tries, but I cut a windshield to fit into the channel. It is somewhat of a snap-fit and is not glued. -
