The sheet metal and engine are clearly Allis Chalmers. Depending on the scale that you are wanting to build, an Allis Chalmers B, C, or CA would be a starting point. You could possibly fabricate the running gear out of styrene. You can get the B, C, and CA in 1/16th die cast. You could possibly build off of those, or use them to cast resin for your purposes. They may be available in other scales as well, but not sure. Hope this helps.

Cool Build! Is that the A.I.T.M. cab? I built the old M.T.F.A. version years ago. It required a lot of work with a grinding wheel.

I just got off the phone with Spaulding Trading and Shipping. They are casting the White 7400 again!!! They said that mine was in the mold and would be shipped out Monday. Haven't seen it yet, but if it is like the one that I bought from them years ago, it will be good. Of course they are shipping me another 6-71 as well.

The white walls make this truck "CLASSY"

I can only assume that the first picture is the latest picture of this truck, but interesting none the less. It proves what I have been saying all along: "anything is possible in truck modeling" because anything is possible in real life. I felt for sure that this truck was from North Carolina. We have some very creative fabricators of our own around here. Buckaroo; I think that I have seen a truck configured similar to what you have came with, but I can't remember where. I personally would like to see you pull this one off, I'm sure it would be good.

I'm ready for one. There were a lot of these Fruehauf dumps here in North Carolina. I have turned my share of wrenches on them too. There are so many options for this kit: 2 axle, 3 axle, lift axles, frame-less, short trailer, dump truck bed, roll out tarp, painted steel bed, natural aluminum bed, etc. It's almost the end of June, any idea when I can get one?

I like this build. The Detroit is the better choice if your daughter is like my kids, they love anything that makes lots of noise. The more noise, the better! Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

Thanks for all the comments, I hope to have more photos soon. This is actually my first attempt at opening doors. Like most of my building lately, this whole build seems to have been an experiment. The seat actually is only in primer, the same as the hood was primed with, but the color has grown on me. I do need some reference photos of the Frigiking rooftop a/c unit that comes in this kit if anyone could help. Thanks again.....Brian

I am looking for any good reference pictures of Frigiking roof top a/c units like the ones in the AMT family cab kits (Road Boss, Autocar, Diamond Reo, Western Star). I'm guessing that they were not as popular as the Kysor units. I am needing inside and outside photos. Any help would be appreciated.
