  1. Put it back in the closet until you can devote some time to it or dust it off and put it on a shelf and peck at it here and there when you have the time.
  2. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to my first model club meeting. It's in the next town over, only about 5 or 6 miles away. Every one was very nice. There were some nice builds there also. I met tubbs and Badluck 13 from this forum. Both really good guys. Thought it was ironic Badluck had a wrist brace on. His daughter was with him also. It's always nice to see young people sharing a hobby with their parents. Anyhow, I just thought it was worth mentioning. I hope you other folks on here have the opportunity to attend functions like this and I hope your experience is as pleasant as mine was. Thanks, Mike.
  3. On the same token some consistency in the kits companies offer to begin with would be nice. Obviously Johan in defunct, I opened one of their older kits that I was pretty excited about and lost all interest in about 1 minute. It was horrible. I had another one of their trophy series kits and it was a beautiful kit. No slam on Johan, just an example. Sorry I may have gone on a tangent there.
  4. I agree. Many of us spend it anyway. It would be nice to cut out some of the leg work. Even a less specific parts pack would be good with the more general items like I mentioned in the original post.
  5. No chunkin' , put them on the trading post thread. Somebody probably wants them. Maybe you'll get something you want in return. Just a suggestion. I've had nothing but good experiences trading on this forum.
  6. I didn't mean that premium. I was thinking more along the line of their regular level 2 or 3 kids with some extra stuff. Maybe your usual $25 kit for $35 or so. Not rivet counting crazy, just the usual things most of us do to most of the kits we build. Me ttoo.
  7. I'll check it out. Thanks.
  8. I was thinking it would bee cool if someone offered a kit with a nice detail set included. Maybe a wired distributor, some calipers, rotors, backing plates, some line and hose material, flocking, etc. I personally would pay pretty good money for it. By the time you round everything up you probably have more than twice the original kit price with shipping or trips to the store. Thought I'd see what you folks think. Thanks, Mike.
  9. That's a cool little bit of information. Thanks.
  10. When I was looking for 1:1 pics to build my 70 S&M Cuda I noticed a lot of the earlier cars had blue Hemis in them. That build looks very nice. I always liked that car.
  11. That stinks every time. Just tossed my Sox & Martin Cuda in the pond myself. It was looking pretty cool and then??? The clear leached some kind of pinkish schmutz out of the blue on the roof. Cest la vie.
  12. I have the Candies and Hughes kit...... Trades Maybe, what types of kits are you looking for?
  13. Just completed my second trade with Bismarck Third deal with AFX And my first deal with Thatz4u All were excellent in all aspects. Don't hesitate to deal with them!!! They are stand up people.
  14. Been looking at the Lindberg Ram Chargers kits and the Polar Lights Candies & Hughes .
  15. These companies have a bunch of models which interest me. I have never built one of their kits. I am curious as to how they build up in general.
  16. I see you're drinking 2%. Is that because you think you're fat ?
  17. That would be sweet. They were beautiful cars. 1/12 would but awesome. I don't have the vision or dexterity to take 1/25 to the next level anymore. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching.
  18. Bondo finishing glaze does work on plastic. May want to sprue test it for though. Diggin' to build btw. Mike.
  19. Godsmack , The Oracle
  20. After my own heart with these builds! Very nice!!! My favorite color on this one. Makes me feel sublime.
  21. Mopar to ya!!
  22. Very nice. Great job on those taillights! They are the bane of an otherwise nice kit. Love it.
