I'm going to try alclad for the 1st time. Can I use lacquer thinner to clean my air brush?

Some groovy 70's stuff. Too Kiss van, the Sorcerer van, and 2 Pinto wagons, the squire and the mini van ones.

I've noticed on the bay Johan kits are a little pricey . My question is are they that good or just collectable since they aren't made anymore? I kinda get some of them because of the subject matter (i.e. older wagons). I have some of them unopened and don't want to open them if they're going to disappoint. Thanks, Mike.

I've never been happy with the finish of the acrylics on bodies. I love them for interiors and under car- under hood work. I highly recommend primer first. They are not solvent based so they do not "etch". Adhesion can be an issue particularly if the parts get handled a lot. I've seen others get good results on bodies with acrylic paints. I'm not knocking them, that's just been my experience.

Decided on the flat head. Made some headers for it and it looked right in the car to me. I made a shroud for the grill and fabbed up an "electric fan ". I didn't like the high mounted one. It didn't flow with the rest of the car. This is the latest mock up. Plenty the do yet, but it's coming along I think.

Great trade with 64SS350. Smooth transaction and shipped fast. Add bismarck to my list. Great transaction.

I also used some spray glue and a piece of Mylar. It makes a nice mirror base for displaying models or taking photos.

Thanks guys. I shoot with a .02 dual action. Just wanted to make sure it was fine enough to flow through that.

What's "Traditional" ?

I like styling ques from several eras of hot rods. I've always kind of think of it like a lot of guys used what was available to build their rods. Probably the reason so many s.b.c.'s in old Ford's. I guess my point is build it your way. It's supposed to be yours. It doesn't have to look like everyone else's to be right. Who cares who likes it or who doesn't. I don't care for low-riders much but I can respect that others do. The world would be pretty uninteresting if everything was the same. Build on friend!! -

My first build in years. I built it for a friend of mine who owns the 1:1 car. 1 pic of the model and a few of his car.

Another local shop closes it's doors

Always sad to hear a shop closed. It happened to a shop by me a couple years ago. I used to like to go in there and browse around and jaw with the owner. I miss that place. He had a ton of old vintage stuff. I also dabble in HO trains and RC planes. He carried that stuff too. -
Some progress here. Shortened a 66 Riviera frame. I just didn't like the stock one. Also a quick mock-up to check the stance. Hopefully the last coat of mud on the chop job.

Unfortunately not anymore Kevin. I've owned 4. 3 Chargers and a Roadrunner. Missing them all. I had the last one 3 kids ago. 2015 Equinox is more my speed for now.
