  1. I think it looks great. If I was to suggest something it would be to make 1 of the side walls removable to make taking photos easier. That way you won't need such a steep camera angle. Nice work. The tools should really set it off. Mike.
  2. That's awesome!!! Little guy has some skills. That second picture is priceless. They grow up too fast.
  3. I'd like to see a picture of some of your display bases. They sound cool.
  4. That's what my head says to do. It's hard not to carry my mindset from work over sometimes. I'm a mechanic in N.E. Ohio. Heart of the rust belt! The people I do work for need their cars. Sometimes you run into problems and putting it down isn't an option. I guess I need to figure out how not to carry that into the things I enjoy. I don't build for shows or contests. No sense pressing myself. Thanks all for your input on this! I knew I wasn't the only one who has had to deal with this. Hahaha!!! I'm a believer.
  5. 4 dunks in the purple pond later I finally got my Sox & Martin 70 'Cuda painted to the good enough for me point. Jeez. What do you folks do when you get to that point? I thought about putting it away for awhile but was afraid that would turn into forever. I don't normally like to settle for good enough but I guess we all have our breaking point. I guess it could be worse. Hopefully the clear will lay on nice.
  6. if I had that kind of loot I'd drive the wheels off of it. Ya can't take it with ya!!!
  7. Sweet Paul. This should be a lot of fun!
  8. Excellent, as soon as we have more details I will let you know. Start-end date and what not. Thanks, Mike.
  9. Last week I thought A.C.Norton had a fun idea. Build an out of them box Gremlin. It's a fun kit with plenty of options to build a stock, street, or strip model. The premise is keeping it simple. Only parts from the box. No wiring, hoses, or parts from other kits etc.. It is not a contest !! Just a interesting way to see what people do with it. Hot rod, rust bucket, show room original, or who knows. At present 3 people are in. Interestingly, from 3 countries. Anybody interested please let us know. Any questions, please ask. Anyone not interested, please do NOT feel obligated to respond!!! Thanks all, Mike! Please check A.C.Nortons post down a few for guidelines and start date. All are welcome to join.
  10. I can't speak for Ace, but when you first asked that I was thinking you meant a built 1:18 type diecast. I have an old Jeep CJ7 diecast kit that pretty much builds like a plastic kit. It just hit me what you meant. Maybe he'll rethink that if he was under the same impression as I was. I think it sounds fun and the more the merrier.
  11. Beauty of a hobby is there is no real pressure other than what you put on yourself. Sometimes the best thing is to put it down for awhile. Often you come back to it feeling inspired.
  12. I'm holding out for the sublime minivan with billboard stripes!!! Oh yeah!!!
  13. That's crazy!!!! I love it. Excellent weathering.
  14. First trade with midnightprowler. Very pleased, would trade again anytime.
  15. I think this is the first build of yours I've looked at. Very nice !!!!! Love that movie.
  16. I'm going to clean mine after my procrastinators anonymous meeting Tomorrow .
  17. You picked the oldest kit in the bunch. The date on the box is 1971, and I totally want to build this one to go with the AMT 280ZX Turbo and the Off-Road pickup...lately i buy them to build rather than collect...and then the finished ones collect dust, but that's what they do best. I used to have a 260. I buy them to build them too. Still a great score. Build on.
  18. Nice score. Any interest in trading the Datsun kit?
  19. This is the first kit I built when I got back into this after 30 years. I built mine of a good friend of mine's 1:1. Had a blast. One of my favorite cars. Yours looks similar. We modeled the same interior color option. My friends car has a darker green exterior.Yours looks very nice. Keep up the good work.
  20. Great build!! Nice back story. Congratulations on your wins. Build on man !!
  21. Two key words, Hemi & Cuda. How can you go wrong? Be creative and have some fun with it. I'll be checking in on it.
