  1. This is still a w.i.p.. I wrapped the grill from the kit with .10 styrene to make it look finished without the hood and sides.
  2. I really like seeing a well done stock kit. That is an awesome build. Keep up the good work!!!
  3. When I see reactions like this I think Dale Earnhardt Sr. You can buy his kits pretty cheap. There was a time though.
  4. I just got the 31 Caddy body by Fleetwood kit yesterday. It is one of the most beautiful kits I've ever seen. Wow. They're priced pretty reasonable too.
  5. If you use the createx paint their airbrush cleaner makes a good thinner from them. They are made for airbrushing so they usually don't need thinning( at least when they're fresh). Lacquer thinner is still very fumey. Their cleaner has very little odor and works well.
  6. 70's custom vans,and anything I can chop up.
  7. My last 2 builds I just envisioned what I wanted and started cutting. They may not turn out right, but I'm having a blast! They're on the works in progress thread. Chop top 34 ford and 55 el cami-no. Enjoy it. The more you try the better you'll get.
  8. Not sure which way It's gonna go yet. "Stock" like Chevy would have made it if they did,or 'kustom" like I'll probably have to do it. Just my nature. Maybe I should take a poll.
  9. Oddly the turbine car is heralded here but relatively inexpensive on the bay.
  10. MrO, I've seen some of your work on here. I'll take your word as gospel.
  11. That's cool. He's an awesome guy!! Still my all time favorite driver. I'm jealous.
  12. What happens when boredom strikes. This was a Nomad. Just having a little fun.
  13. Thanks Mark.
  14. I have a couple Lil Red Express kits. This inspired me. Excellent job!!!
  15. Hobby lobby sells the RR kit, at least here in Ohio. It's like 24 bucks. 18 or so with their coupon.
  16. Cover for a rag top? Rumble seat? Got me.
  17. Thanks for your input all. It's all been helpful.
  18. I think the Electra came out in 68. Had a pan head bottom end and a shovel head top. I may be wrong though my biking days are pretty far behind me now. Cool kit for sure!!
  19. I have the 68 Roadrunner interior. Would swap for some pro streets tires or something if you're interested. Mike.
  20. I have 3 sealed Johan Petty 64 Belvederes. Are they nice kits? I don't want to open them if they are a disappointment.
  21. I like the createx paints. It's true you can't really sand them. The up side is they wash right off with water if they aren't dry. I don't use them on bodies though. I just don't get the finish I want from them. Others may have better luck with them. I really like them for interiors and chassis and under hood work. They dry pretty flat so if you want a shine I would get the gloss or some Future. The gloss dries sloooow. It does flow out nice though. Hope this helps.
  22. That was fast! Thanks.
