  1. I'm planning on using the chassis from the Revell 56 Del Ray on my 55. Has anybody else tried this? Any tips on modifications or fit issues? If it works I'll use the 55 chassis on the Del Ray for a gasser build.
  2. The 59 Chevy dash looks great in there!
  3. I sold cars at a Cadillac dealership for about 4 years, and there was not one day out of those 4 years that there was not a newer Caddy up on the hoist with the engine dropped out of it for warranty work. The Caddy mechanic called them "Job Security".
  4. Personality! Not only do new cars all look the same, they are all FUGLY. New cars are made of cheap, thin metal that bends if you lean on them, and when you get inside, you are surrounded by ugly cheap plastic. You can have all the airbags, navigation systems, 4g LTE connectivity, back-up cameras, push button starts, and all of the other useless BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH that they cram into these overpriced tin cans. Give me a 60's Impala, or Olds, or Pontiac, or mopar any day.
  5. Anyone know when his regular website will be back up for those of us who don't do ebay?
  6. Yeah, they're moving into a former Porters Crafts&Frames store in Idaho Falls that had been there for 25 years or so.
  7. Thanks Bill, I'll have to check it out when they open up.
  8. They're opening an A.C. Moore store nearby. Do they sell any model stuff?
  9. I've got a set of those too, I'll have to check them out, but I really like the rear wheels in the MRC set.
  10. Thanks, J.C. I've used those, and they are nice, but the stock wheels didn't stay on my Cuda for long. I replaced them w/Cragar SS all around,14x7 front, and 15x10 rear w/Mickey Thompson N50 Indy Profiles. I've got an MRC set of Cragars and MT tires to use.
  11. Tina Louise was Ginger, Dawn Wells was Mary Ann(and hotter than Raquel Welch I think).
  12. That's what I thought too, anything is better than those BUG EYES.
  13. I'm thinking Testors Flame red for the color. Is there anything closer(spray can laquer).
  14. By the way, thanks for the picture. I think that the hood from the Revell kit is closer than I thought. This car is identical to mine, except mine had steel wheels w/dogdish caps.
  15. I'm going to try to remove the ones from the AMT kit, and replace them with the ones from the grill in the Revell kit. It looks like it will work with a little tweeking.
  16. Yep, that's my car. Can you believe that you could buy a brand new car, that cool for $3300.
  17. I'm wanting to build a replica of my first New car, a 73 Cuda that I drove in High School. I'm planning on using the body from the AMT 74 Baracuda snap kit, and chassis and interior from the Revell 70 Hemi cuda. I'll probably use the 340 from the AMT 71 Duster(mine was a 318 w/3 spd. manual). I'm going to remove the molded-in flat hood and use the dual scoop hood from the Revell kit(not quite right, but the closest I can find). It will be red w/black vinyl top, and black side stripes. If anyone has any tips, hints, suggestions or ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks,Rich
  18. That Riv Camino just looks like it was meant to be, and I want it!
  19. Same here, only it was one girl working on the paint side, and the manager on the model side.
  20. Nuthin' but a lot of empty shelves here so far.
  21. Only discounts I could see here were on the airbrushes(and they weren't much).
  22. Spotlight Hobbies sells boxes for 1/25 cars(pretty good price).
  23. Yep, same thing here, for most of the day.
  24. Sorry, I thought those Dodge ones were the same.
  25. Chief Joseph, Fireball Models has them just like the ones on the red car above with decals for the center. the best that I've seen.
