  1. When did the Monza come out? I didn't think they were around as early as 76.
  2. Now, that is cool, looks like something that should have been done.
  3. Yep, I got those confused too(even when I was trying to sell them). Then I went to a Nissan/Kia dealership and had to deal with the Altima/Optima thing.
  4. Yeah Rob, that's it ESV, I couldn't remember the name.
  5. I can't believe that a couple of weeks ago, everyone was in such a tizzy over the fact that there might not any more automotive kits from Revell, and then Revell comes out with what looks to me like a very nice kit of a great subject, and it's already being picked apart, and bad mouthed, before we've even seen it. I wouldn't blame Revell if they never made another kit.(I sure hope they do though.)
  6. Cadillac also had the larger (Suburban/Yukon XL)size version available. I sold Caddys from 06 to 09, and the large version was not as popular, but it was there.
  7. Yep, you're right Kevin. I couldn't remember if it was a 68 or 69, I did remember the Smokey Yunick paint job.
  8. So, I'll have a 60 Pontiac with a custom interior. Really not a big deal to me. I trust Bill, and Steve on the fact that it isn't stock.
  9. Finally, we can build Reese Bobby's car! Or, was that a 69?
  10. That's good news. I guess I can do a correct stock interior.
  11. That came in handy at the drive-in movies.
  12. It does have large diameter steelies, but they are molded with baby moon(ish) hubcaps.
  13. Yeah, I know the hardtop body is a mess, but my kit is a convertible, and it looks pretty good to me. Bill, I think you might be right about the interior, so I'll just do it as a mild custom. That way I won't have to worry about the interior, or the emblems. Does anyone have any pics of one built, or in the process of being built?
  14. I just got a Trumpeter 60 Bonneville convertible. It looks like a cool kit, it was open, and has 2 complete chrome trees(1 dull-1shiney). I haven't gone through it real close yet, but I didn't notice the metal transfer emblems(not sure what I'm looking for). Does anyone who has built this kit have any tips, tricks or things to look out for? Thanks ''
  15. Pinstripes?
  16. I just tried it on a Myers Manx(purple fog)and it looks great. Sprayed it over Model Master semi gloss black, and it doesn't need any polishing or clearcoat
  17. Well, it DOES something for me, and a lot of other people(so it seems). Can we please wait 'till we see the kit. I'm not ready for a DOSE of nit-picking yet!
  18. Yep, I didn't think you could make that 53 look much better, but you did. I love the dog dishes on anything from the 50s and 60s.
  19. I wish they would make the hood fit better.
  20. Thanks guys, I'll have to try that.
  21. So, what do you use instead of masking tape?
  22. That thing is beautiful! See Tulio, there ARE other colors besides black. I love that green!
  23. I agree, but I love everything else about it. I guess I can overlook the tail lights.
  24. I love those Super Bees Too, I had a yellow 69 back in the early 70s.
  25. Yeah Casey, I built the 55 years ago, and wasn't crazy about a lot of the parts fit problems, so I tore it apart with the idea of making a gasser out of it. Then the 56 Del Ray came along and l put the 55 aside. After screwing up a couple things on the 56, I decided to make it a gasser also. I ended up getting another of each kit in trades, so I'm going to try to mix and match parts from each kit to make stock and gasser versions of each year( 55 chassis for gassers, 56 chassis, wheels and tires for stock). Thanks for the link to your old post. It is giving me some good ideas. Did you ever finish that build?
