  1. Those headers are a thing of beauty. Especially that you got them all to lay down against the frame. I've done solder zoomies and they were a pain. Is that black goop on the pillars JB Weld? I assume it's not too hard to sand / shape?
  2. It's engineering and innovation that made America the greatest nation on Earth. Happy Machining My Friend & Happy Birthday America.
  3. Everytime I see a piece, I try to envision the math and the operations with you as you work. Does your head hurt as much as mine does?
  4. I see what you did there. I can see that being on a 1:1 chassis. I've dabbled in metal work and it's a challenge every step of the way. After 5 attempts, I'd call it good.
  5. I'm always thrilled with every update. You wanna' know what's more thrilling? BTW, I got a slow start, (what else is new...), but the pool is almost ready.
  6. First of all Travis, best of luck and skill with this. Secondly, What a great tip Bill. Better yet, it's Aces! Got me to wondering if masking tape would hold up as the outer layer if you simply applied the ribbed ribbon to it. Hmmmmmmm. Had to go write that down before I replied. Old guy stuff.
  7. Every once in awhile, the Modeling Gods drop a solution in your lap as a reward for all of your hard work. I just hate it when they laugh at my mortal attempts.
  8. One of John's Minions just sent me a selfie from your machine shop. Did you forget to lock the door?
  9. Outstandable.
  10. That's whacked Marlowe. Simply whacked.
  11. Thanx Bernard & Marlowe. I thought I heard an Amazon Drone, but when I got up there, all I saw was this weird lookin' wind chime on top of a chimney stack. I didn't know Heineken made chimney's too. A couple more "Real Life" things to tend to and I'll be back on this Bad Boy.
  12. Another off the charts build Dude.
  13. It annoys some people when I make up words, but we can't say #&$**@@%&( for obvious reasons. Having cleared that up, PHANTASMAGORICALISTIC !!!!!!!!! Well done sir. I hand out about 8 of these a year for exceptional builds and updates. You earned this one Marlowe.
  14. Love the whole thing of course, but you got the pillars blended perfectly, great moon tank location, even the way you got the rear slicks as far forward as possible. I would really, really like to see some engine and interior pics. Great job.
  15. I'm going with similar enough to cause confusion. LOL The tanks are different and my version has the cockpit tinwork extensions beyond the side panels. Now, as to when I'll get back on it, I've had some back issues after climbing a really tall ladder a couple weeks ago, but it's better now. That caused me to neglect the pool, so I've got my work cut out for me tomorrow, but soon y'all. Soon. Stay tuned.
  16. I know those clamps all too well Bro. NAILED IT !!!!
  17. Whether it happens with this post or another, Congratz on 200 pages. Every single entry advances your dream Chris. Here's to the next 200.
  18. The Smithsonian is on the phone. They want to talk to you.
  19. What the Doc said, except spelled correctly. NOYCE!!!!!
  20. Here's the natural progression as I see it. On Monday, you've got your basic components. Tuesday comes and you've got it detailed. Now, it's got all of the bells and whistles necessary to make it look as realistic as humanly possible. How am I doing so far? I have a sneaking suspicion that when it's mounted, we won't be able to tell the difference from a 1:1. All Hail Brother Chris.
  21. Currently, my one and only rail. Thanx for starting a neato thread.
  22. Once upon a time, there was a Charlie Allen Dart that needed to be stripped. Here's what brake fluid overnite does to a resin body. Lesson learned.
  23. Bring it.
  24. I stared at it so long, my session timed out........
