1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018

Throwing out an idea. How about an X brace for a fuel tank? Kill 2 birds......ya' know? Maybe Shapeways will split the difference. I haven't heard of any customer service issues. Only that they are good people. I did try to use them once when I needed 4 pairs of headers for my QuarterMaster Charger, but they were too busy. -
Hey Brother Tim I went through your Dragfest pics. I Triple Dog Dare you to put that Crossfire Sidewinder on your "To Do" list. Thanx for some of the clearest close up pics, especially the throttle linkage.

This is gonna' be even more "off the hookier" than all of your other off the hook bikes. Looks like the real engines were painted Alclad. How convenient. The interior looks simple enough to scratch out, but if you aren't doing a replica, you could have fun with that. You know, center console, telephone, fire extinguisher, microwave cappuccino machine,The Teresi Touch. I'll be patiently waiting for the first progress pics. I should check back in, what? Say, about an hour?

Mooneyz Plumbing Inc. No job too tedious or time consuming. Call 1-800-PRO-VEGA1 for estimate. (You ain't gonna like it ) And I can't stop looking at the head & valve cover gaskets. The overall finished engine will be amazing, but the gaskets are the GOTCHA' Factor for me. -

I don't see a single aspect of this build where the word "AWESOME" would not apply. -
On delivery day, can we get some pics of the happy new owner and the real deal together? Now this may simply be my severely malfunctioning brain pan, but I see an image of a face in the rollcage in the 1st picture, but in none of the others. Is this an optical delusion? Possibly the background thru the rear window? Bizarre man. Congratz on yet another amazing build and thank you for letting us watch it happen.

PhotoBucket's problems are more than "maintenance" for me. If I may Chris, I'd like to post a recent response to PB, as my service has been down for a month. It has been 3 weeks since you last responded. I have tried to be patient, but my issue is still not resolved. As you suggested, I tried to "access your account via a mobile browser or a desktop computer" however, since those are the two systemsI've been trying to resolve, that was a bad recommendation to begin with.We are at the one month mark now. Exactly how inept are the people who have failed to resolve this?I give you one week, November 9th, to correct this before I request a full refund of my recently paid subscription.Should your "technicians" be able to fix this, I still want a 30 day credit for the time it's taken away from my usage. Please respond as soon as possible so I know which corrective action to take against your company.I have been a computer user since the Commodore 64 was released. Never in my life; not through friends, not in the papers, not on the news, not on the internet, have I ever seen such a poor example of "customer service."Fix it or lose me. Your call. This was my 4th response, including numerous requests by them for information regarding my computer, phone, and of course, "What were you doing when the error occurred?" "Um, wait a second. Let me think about this. Oh yeah !! I was accessing your broken website." I now return you to the Most Awesome Vega Funny Car Replica on the Planet. -
Okay, NOW I see the headers. It's a shame to paint them, but it has to be done. Can't find any pictures on the Googlenet showing AA/FA's with brass headers. Thanks for letting me have fun at your expense from time to time. It's good therapy.

This, to me Tim, is amazing. I knew we had "something" in common that linked us together in the Greater Design of the Cosmos and Humanity in general. We have the same exact ruler !!!!!!! I'm serious Dude. Mine is Exactly like yours. That's a total mind blower. Nice start on the headers. That's all the progress so far, huh? 8 pieces of bent tubing. WW !!!!!! Sorry, I'm medicated.

And I thought I was retentive. That brings it to whole another level. Brother John, whatever it is you said, I agree. -
This is a joke, right?

I suddenly feel soooo much better about my worst build ever. -
Good Grief !! Even the jig is a work of art.

Great concept Brian, excellent execution. I rarely throw in my "2 cents" on others builds because there is more than enuff that could be said about my builds. I do want you to consider, if you're talking about stripping the current paint job, replacing the A pillars. I believe it would be both aesthetically pleasing and may function as a brace to prevent the roof from getting ripped off at speed. Either way, Bravo on a sweet ride.

WINGED FIAT ALTERED - Buckling In - 1/10/2017

I'd say it's part of the same problem Ray. I told them the problem started when my phone pics didn't generate a "Recent Uploads" file for October. Figuring the app was the problem, I uninstalled basic PB and installed PB for Samsung since I have a Galaxy Note 4. When that failed to fix it, I reverted back to basic and it uploaded every pic on my phone that I've taken in the last 2 years. 1500 give or take. Now my pic count is nearly 3500. I don't believe the problem started because I subscribed. That's gotta be a coincidence. Nevertheless, I will ask them to change my annual renewal date to the resolution of this catastrophe. -

No doubt Bro. It's been over a week now. I'll fire off a reminder to my service guy on Monday if it's still broke. Ahhhhhhhh, the interweb. What are ya gonna do, right? -
There once was a machinist named Tim Who decided to build him a rim So he fashioned a ring To replicate the thing And now we all have to wait until he gets around to mounting them on the frame. *****Zilla / 2016*****

We will get this resolved as soon as we can! As a workaround, please try to access your account via a mobile browser or a desktop computer. If the problem continues, please let me know. Thank you for your patience and again, I am terribly sorry for this inconvenience! Josh@Photobucket Support Well, there it is. I guess I'll just keep checking it until it comes up. -

Since we don't have a resolution yet, I am clueless as to how it happened or what caused it. It happened a day or two after I paid, so it's unknown if that was somehow the cause. I've fired off a new round of answers to questions they had this morning involving my phone, so they are back at trying to fix it. BTW, they won't WANT cash until your free storage is full. I was at 33% before this all came down. As soon as it's fixed, I'll do an update. -

Hi folks. Thanks for checking in. This week's excuse is that my PhotoBucket account crashed when I paid for a subscription. Didn't need more storage, just wanted to see if it would speed up when it's not trying to load a half dozen ads. So what happened was, a couple days after, I took some update pics, but they failed to upload to PB. So, I retried a few times. Failing that, I went to my PC homepage. and this is what I got. Broken links galore I contacted support, they emailed back requesting more info including a screenshot ($@%^*@%^). That was Thursday. I haven't heard back yet. I reluctantly started a Flickr account, (not fond of the Yahoo account requirement), but can't see how to create a direct link. Or any link for that matter. So anyway, I canard-ly wait for their response. Don't think for a second you were gonna' get away with that Dave. You're dealing with a propheshoonul here there then now. -

I could lend you a couple of Minions Scott, but that might not be the wisest decision you've ever made. Um, I have no clue how this happened, but, uh, this build just took a turn to the Dark Knight Side. I swear, all I was doing was shortening the middle fins when, "THAT" happened. I've also given her a name. The Gotham Flyer -

Thanks for the warning on the collet / spindle / mandrel sizes Michael. Hey, I found out the tool mount on the Drill Stand rotates!!!!! The possibilities boggle the mind. I still need to buy a clamp for the table. That's happening soon. Then we get to play. This has been a rough week y'all. Filled with inept people and the consequences they create that I have to fix. And the depression it inflicts. Okay, back to business. I managed to carve out some time to empty 9 boxes of partial kits. Even at that, the parts count seems low to me. I must have pillaged and plundered more than I thought. If that's true, where's the finished models they're supposed to be on? But I found some quality goodies, including hinge mounts for the roof hatch on the altered. Sorry for the whining. All of you have your own issues.Good to know I have friends here that will listen. Here's proof I was actually productive.
