  1. It's amazing what passed for a chassis in those days. Those were some brave pilots. Orange acetate not withstanding, what a great example of a box stock build. Kudos for sticking with the wrong headers. When was the last time somebody told you that? Also, what does it feel like to complete a build? I've kinda' forgotten...........
  2. We're overdue for another Funny from you John. I remember when you said you wanted to do the M/T Marine car. Looks like you get to have your cake and munch away on it at the same time. See you then.
  3. ....and the unbelievably awesome just got more unbelievable. I'll bet a CNC could knock that blower out in no time at all. Just a random $100,000.00 thought.
  4. Brother Tim, sorry I've been away. Takes longer for old guys to bounce back from minor illnesses. You've made some incredible progress. I have to stare at every picture in awe to make sure I don't miss a detail you so painfully and meticulously craft and install.
  5. Whoa Buddy!!! Sorry I'm late to the update, I've been under the weather myself. Knocked down for 2 full days. But Hubba Hubba Hubba, I think I'm cured. Your skills have brought me back to life. Or reasonable facsimile thereof. The plumbing and detailing is off the charts.
  6. Mount a big ol' machine gun on the hood of either of those, with the saying, "Get ahead of me, you still lose."
  7. This might be too basic, but did you check with the building's Security staff to see if someone put it in "Lost & Found?" If so, check again. Somebody's conscience may get the better of them. I worked in a casino for 10 years and most times people are surprised that we had a warehouse full of items, all dated with the exact location it was found. At the end of 90 days, it's donated to local charities.
  8. Nice job using the decals. I ended up painting the stripes on mine.
  9. Looking better and better. Engine looks weird without the idler pulley, but I know it's there in the first pics. I also saw you're using one of my favorite tools: The Toothbrush. It was my idea to use toothbrushes for parts cleanup in 1964. You owe me $100.00. P. S. The only way to improve a Chevy is to put a MOPAR engine in it. Any MOPAR engine.......
  10. That is pure sweetness. Love what you did removing the windshield wipers.
  11. Thanks Mark I wanted to kick this one a couple of times...... Hey Mike, on further review, (and a Googlenet Inquiry), I'm gonna' say yes to the X-16. I only buy paints that match availability in both spray bomb and bottle. I've got the spray bomb TS-37, so that means I had the X-16.
  12. I wish I could help you on that Mike, but as memory serves, I killed the bottle or it died of natural causes.. I went through my "In Stock" paint, but no purple in inventory. Giving me a brain with a memory is like putting screen doors on a submarine.
  13. Thanks for your comments Mike. I don't recall where the material for the wings came from. That and the fins were dredged up from my stock supplies. As for the GoodFear, that's a modified GoodYear Slixx decal. Eliminate the 'Y', then trim the bottom of an extra 'E', Waaalaaaa!!!! As for the paint, my best guess is Tamiya Gold because that's what the purple is. If you searched for the build, it was under a previous "Nitrozilla", not Nytrozilla. Dragula on Steroids Also, there's this Display Enjoy
  14. I was going to post a pic of a Minion looking at blueprints and scratching his head, but you get the visual. Nice work as always my friend.
  15. Let's do a checklist to see if you got your priorities in order Ron. 1 - Wife 2 - Holiday 3 - Hobby bench Yup, ya' nailed it.
  16. I knew it was a trophy getter from the first post Brad. Congratz my friend.
  17. Excellent work all around so far Ron, but what got my attention is the front suspension. NICE. Put those pics in a text book as a great example. And it can be scratched out in any scale skill will allow. Approach Dave (Comp1839) with caution or you'll be replacing stuff with metal before you realize what happened. He'll even tell ya' how to do it right.
  18. First Brad said, "Great Googly Moogly!!! Then Dave said, "Absolutely stunning craftsmanship. extraordinarily clean work. Then Joe said, "What are they talking about?" Then Joe went back one page to look at the pics. But I think Leonard said it best on Big Bang. "You're one lab accident away from becoming an evil genius."
  19. Some of your best results come from "Passion Builds" that involve your father and friends. cough*** Harley Test Track Hauler***cough
  20. What a great tip. I wish I had some white tubing, but all of mine is black. Darn.
  21. Every picture is an exercise in bladder control. I don't see a single part that doesn't look like it is on a 1:1 engine.
  22. Next thing ya' know Tim, you'll be making gears to go inside the tra.......SHUT UP JOE!!!!!!
  23. That's a Kitbash with a capital "K" right there that is Mr. RRR. Excellent pilot choice too. I miss Mike. A lot. But only every time I watch every single event. Pedragon? Really? What about former Top Fuel & Funny Car & Mustache Champion Gary Scelzi? Wow, talk about sidetracked ! Sorry. Excellent Execution Rodney, Well Done.
  24. Is it true you challenged Chuck Norris to an airbrush duel and he ran like Forrest Gump? SPARKLY BLUE !!!!!!!!!
  25. Way cool Brad. That's going to look great with the weathering in contrast to the shiny interior. BTW, I got an order from the fastener place I linked to you. 0-80 & 00-90 nuts, bolts & washers: 350 pieces for $60.00. It's back to the bench for me.
