  1. Incredible as always Dave. I will be back at it shortly. I just received an order for 0-80 & 00-90 bolts, washers & nuts for the Knitro Knight. Not bad either. 350 pieces for less than $60.00. Enough about me. Can we discuss focus techniques when you're not busy, which apparently, is NEVER.
  2. If you look real close, you can just barely make out The Snake's grimey left index fingerprint on the #6 wire. THAT'S attention to detail. I'd tip my hat to you, but then everybody would know I'm bald. Not happening. You Rock Bro.
  3. What Dave said about what Brad said.
  4. Ribs & Studs tomorrow huh? Sounds like dinner at a.......ya' know what? There's no safe way to finish that sentence. Can't believe you'll have a roller before you know it. Amazingly awesome as per always my friend. Keep on Chooglin'
  5. It feels to me like this is a pivotal moment in this odyssey. This is where the impetus comes from that ignites the motivation to complete this piece of modeling history. "By Grabthar's Hammer I will avenge....." Wait. Right movie, wrong quote. "Never give up! Never surrender!"
  6. No words............ They should have sent a poet. (Jodi Foster / Dr. Ellen Arroway - Contact)
  7. My favorite shade of blue is ..... all of them.
  8. That explanation was a thing of beauty Dave. I almost cried. Almost. Man, you use every square inch of that workspace. Have you ever noticed how some people are neater than others?
  9. Hey Paul, I think Chris is gonna' have to take the hit for everybody that does head gaskets from here on out. Kinda like the first guy to add valve stems to wheels. Now everybody is doing it. Loving the look and the progress my friend.
  10. Um, probably NOT what you're looking for......... You said "custom".
  11. THIS I gotta' see.
  12. Getting headers right has always been a point of pride on my builds. In 50 years, it never occurred to me to rust out the inner pipe. I always assumed it was black from exhaust. The heat must burn it off.....? Good eye Brother.
  13. When I saw the oil pump, I said a baaaaaaad word. Good thing this site doesn't record audio. You're still performing at your standard, standard, uber standard standards.
  14. I remember when you were debating whether to plumb the injector lines. Of course you caved, and now you're making metal tanks. In 1/32. More awesome surprises to come, I'm sure. Insert "Atta Boy" emoji here.
  15. I always enjoy a good cop car build. And just like a flame paint job makes a car go faster, GCPD livery makes it totally bad to the bone. Has anybody ever pointed out that Gotham City license plates should not exist? It's a city, not a state. I'll check my local DMV to see if I can get Las Vegas City plates Excellent execution David.
  16. First up, I love a lot the mock-up. The stance screams Evil Genius In Charge. Sorry you didn't get a brass magnet for Christmas. I asked myself for a lathe and it didn't materialise either. I'll settle for a different kind of present, anticipating details on your collaboration with another well established Evil Genius. It should be something subtle and understated. Like a rear engine sidewinder Gremlin Long Nose Funny Car. Subtle.
  17. I have a teeny tiny update due to a teeny tiny item I made for the belt. A buckle. I believe it is the smallest hand crafted piece I have ever made. Isn't it adorable? Concerning the belt. The material I used was a strip of Evergreen siding and I failed to notice how thick it was until after the Great Super Glue Attack of 2017. Thankfully, I fired up my handy dandy Dremel Reality Altering & Shaping Machine and ground away the parts that were not utility belt looking. With the buckle added, it has possibilities. Next I have the pleasure of primering it to see how many errors I've created. We'll take it from there. Enjoy.
  18. Brad, I haven't tried this company yet, but what you need may be here. http://www.fastener-express.com/
  19. Count me in. Then again, I've always been a sucker for a build with totally awesome potential. It's a weakness of mine.
  20. Thanks for checking in folks. Hiya Niko! I've seen your builds, both 1/25 and 1/1. We are both aficionado's of "Off The Wall." I suppose you could call this progress. The chutes have been way more demanding in detail than I anticipated. When will I learn? Here's what we've got. Pic 1 - Backing plate and mount. I made a new inner plate because the first one was wonky. Pic 2 - Closed chute configuration. Pic 3 - Open chute configuration. Better springs are in the works. I wasn't going to talk about the springs, but since you brought it up here's one neat thing. The springs will be inside when the closed chute is on, then when I put on the open chute packs, just pull them out a little. Neato, right? Next I'll start chopping up some ribbon while simultaneously crossing my fingers and chewing my nails. Note to self: Don't forget to allow for chute cords on closed packs, plus D rings for the release cables. OH MAN !! I gotta make release cables and hand levers. On to the pilot. Did some shaping on the ears, added a utility belt which will get a buckle, and made the glove wings. Enjoy the pics y'all.
  21. Everybody seems to have recovered from the holidays. As Gallagher would say, you came back "with STYLE!!!!" Sweet looking fire belching goodness.
  22. I have tried and tried to avoid the obvious and true accolade of "Jaw Dropping". Somehow, I am going to maintain my decorum. I'm a grown man. I am in total control of myself. I alone am responsible for my own actions. No matter how hard you try Dave, those words will never leave my lips. Thanks to the wonders of the Interweb, all I have to do is type "Jaw Dropping". Talk about rationalization. Beautiful as always.
  23. I wanted to poke my nose in on everybody to wish all of my MCM Family a Happy New Year. Thanks also to Gregg and Harry and all the mods for the best home we could have. I also want to express my deepest regrets for those we lost this year, but especially Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. Talk about working in mysterious ways. They both had a special place in my heart. A quick update on the parachute. I'm very happy with how the ribbon came out. I've done some test cuts that look good and I like the way LocTite works for applying it to the plastic. The Elmer's solution is acting like a barrier to prevent soak-through discoloration. Pics in a couple of days.
