  1. My first car was a 59 Dodge Desoto. My second, and favorite car, was my 63 Fairlane 500. If you replace the red trim with gold and add the teardrop hood, that was mine. I miss my baby. Ewwwww, just noticed the wheels. Replace them with old school Cragars.
  2. I think you already know where I stand. Even if you built an Edsel with a HEMI, I'd be right there.............Ya' know what? I think I found the line and I'm not gonna cross it. Nobody wants to see that.
  3. I got all Goose Bumpely when I checked out the engine. Love, Love, Love the tranny linkage. It's racing to the top of the "Teresi Top Ten" list. But, then again, every new build does. I'm kinda' pliable like that.
  4. WHAT??? Somebody actually whined about too much goodness? They need to get a new hobby. I suggest whine tasting! This is a milestone update my man. I've been anticipating this very update for a long time. So happy it's going well and that you are not in a rush to go to clear. There's an old saying in the Automotive Service business when a Tech rushes a job.. "There's never time to do it right, but always time to do it twice." Here's to getting it right.
  5. Jack was one of the TRUE innovators of early Go Fast Stuff. Having Mercury and Kendall on his side gave him a lot of room to play. Although this is my favorite, I always thought, "Hmmmmmm, rounded windshield with a shoebox nose. An aerodynamic contradiction." But, then again, no spoilers or zoomies at that time. Have some fun with this one.
  6. WHAT THE WHAT?????? Must have been before I started following the Henry J. That is insanely off the hook and waaaaaay outside the box Tim. I eagerly await the results of the paint on this beast. Wow, that's wild my friend.
  7. ***There's not doubt I'm a nut case, Joe. You did know that Mr. Sobak and I are brothers, didn't you??? *** So, it's Chris and John and me. Now we have you too? Who's gonna' tell Mom?
  8. John, John, John. You always find a way to amaze us and we always fail to properly express our amazement at your skills. 'Nuff said.
  9. Scott, you are a nut case. You restart a build after a 1 year hiatus and say, "Time for an update." Who do you think you are? Chris Sobak? Great to see you came back at it with such a ferocity.
  10. First of all, concerning the move to an FED. Who says drag racing is all in a straight line anyway? They put steering wheels on there in case a course correction is needed. You're the pilot. You take it in the direction you feel it needs to go. Besides, I'd watch you build an Erector Set Bulldozer. Now, here's hoping I make it to 2018.
  11. I do too. I've seen Chris' work up close and personal. I think he finished a model just this last decade. It's smooth as glass and it WILL give you GooseBumpies. Come on....It's been a long time since I took a cheap shot. Soooooooo impressed Bro.
  12. I'm not sure it was necessary to single Dave out for thinking you're nuts........We all do. They may be small, but I'll bet they are heavy breathers. That's 2 Bazinga's, one for each pair.
  13. Marlowe, it's everything I hoped it would be. I hope you feel the same way. Especially when you hit a wall on the tinwork. That would have killed a lot of builds. Furthermore, like your previous projects, she's one of a kind. Congratz.
  14. Bring it on. I've always liked the concept of concept cars. Assuming the paddle provides the Ping and the balls provide the Pong, uh, nice Pongs.
  15. When I saw there was an update, I said, "Oh Boy!! Oh Boy!! Oh Boy!!" I stand by that statement. My name is Joe Goss and I approve this update.
  16. Bravo Dave. Bravo
  17. We have GOT to have a talk with Gregg so that we can start using the language required to heap praise upon your skills and results. Otherwise, my entire comment would be filled with "Blah-Blah's". Another wonder filled update.
  18. Too Two Sweet For Words
  19. I want to take a moment to thank his daughter for getting the line back up and running on Ebay in the first place. I moved heaven and earth to get a set of his 66/67 Schumacher Stardust decals. Then she came along and saved the day. I recently saw some saying they were closing the Ebay store, sadly now, it's reality. I wish I had the resources to acquire the line. My best wishes to the entire Gooche family as they deal with their issues.
  20. Always does my heart good to see you on a roll again John. I love the rake, but not of the chassis, the rake of the booth. It looks mean, tilted into the wind. Glad to see you crankin' away Bro.
  21. Tell me there will be head gaskets and I'll never bother you again. HAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe I actually typed that. HAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I'm seeing it. I'm feeling it. I'm loving it. This is going to be a looong week.
  23. I totally empathize with you on finding motivation. I always take the easy way out on rationalizing whether I've "made progress" after doing something aside from the build. Then you realize you're benefiting not only this build, but many builds to come. Seems there is a little bit of motivation going on there. Snuck up on ya' when the Minions were playing Pokeman Go, didn't it?
  24. Hope you enjoyed your break Brother. This is gonna' be Wicked Kool. It might even inspire me to get my happy self back to work.
  25. You ain't seen nuthin' yet.
