  1. Simply awesome build, top shelf show winner....
  2. just awesome work, so nice, well done show winner
  3. I designed and built this to enter in the junior class AutoWorld model contest in 1974, I was 12. Custom body flares, spoilers cust out and wing-open the doors. Hand painted all the StarTrek space mural and airbrushed the rest. Handmade interior with TV and CB radio and wiring. One of my most fun builds, luck it has survived all these years. Think I should do a little restoration and give it a really thick clear coat and polish it real nice and tuck the rear tires in a bit.
  4. 65 Pontiac 2+2 - Duplicolor Arizona Sand California Custom Vette - Duplicolor Electron Red Pontiac Banschee 63 Stingray - Duplicolor Maui Blue
  5. Nice! I'm doing the hardtop in Topaz Teal with a white top and white interior, same as my dad had.
  6. Coming from you, that is a high compliment after seeing your 300's. I'm not even close in the same league as you. Yes,Modelhaus has this and the HT 67. Very well done castings, of course as always some trimming is required and the convertible is for some reason narrower than the HT in the rear, I had to section 3/8" from the rear bumper in the middle, hard to see I did but took some extra effort. the bumper fits well on the HT though. I'm digging into the HT this summer, my dad had one as well, love the GP's
  7. My tribute build to a 67 GP my dad bought new in 67 and owned until mid-90's, one of his and my favorite cars. This is the Modelhaus resin painted with Testors Mystic Maroon and lot's of clear.
  8. Craftsmanship at the highest level. Just stunning, can't believe I'm looking at 1/25 plastic models
  9. 1/24 SSR Professor SP3 19" Tire and Wheel Set I bought these off amazon. Roughly, these are about a 20" wheel on this model. I primarly build RestoMod models so I like the big wheel look myself
  10. Thanks, the color of the interior is light gray to blend with the silver-slate color stripe
  11. The only Big Rig survivor from my early years of building. I actually built this and competed at the car/model shows in the mid-seventies with this one. A fun build and can't believe it survived 40+ years of moving around.
  12. A quickie build-off challenge, lot a fun this one
  13. Very nice Dave, good looking build and tribute. Nope, never mind seeing anyone builds, that's why we're on here right!
  14. Thanks, the wheels are big and little Pegasus T's that I used a red sharpie marker ran along the rim then followed with a black sharpie marker in the dish area to create the red-line look. The Deora is the only one that has the smaller wheel tire combo on all four, most of the rest of the cars have the big/little combo, except the T-Bird, Eldorado and the Custom Fleetside use the big's on all four
  15. Thanks all for the comments. I'm having a blast starting this theme build. Here's a picture of all 16 original released Sweet 16 cars from 1968 The first build is the Custom Cougar Second build the Deora.... I handmade the surf boards and painted to match the originals.
  16. Very COOL build and creative comments with your pictures, well played!
  17. Since I was a little 7 year old kid in 1967, my affliction with cars began when Mattel introduced the first "Sweet 16" Hot Wheels. That lead me into building plastic 1/25 scale, to building 1:1 circuit show-cars and now back to 1/25 scale building in my 50's again. Just recently decided I would search for all original 16 1967 released Hot Wheels cars, (like you perhaps, I had several of all 16 !) in 1/25 scale to build tributes to those Sweet 16 I found every 1/25 kit even the Ford J Car. Here is the work in progress of the Hot Heap 1915 Ford T future builds coming up, Custom Volkswagen, Custom T-Bird and the two finished Custom Cougar and Deora in the cases.
  18. Bad casting, way too much time to make that look right. I'd just build that scoop on the factory (kit) hood. Had to do this on my 67, needed a cowl, kit didn't have one, made my own and it looks better than the resin ones in my opinion
  19. Nice work! Looks fantastic. I build the first Revell version of this kit and must say not bad for overall detail to work with.
  20. Thanks for the comment. Actually I was going to do that but rushed to paint, this was a build-off challenge with limited time
  21. My all time favorite Monogram 1/24 Tom Daniels Custom California Vette
  22. well done! This is an awesome detailed kit and you honored it with your craftsmanship
