Top Shelf Show winner, fantastic build

I feel ya bud.... I'm obsessed with the other sibling, the 71 and 72 Mercury Cougar. I have 8 kits waiting to be built in varied styles as I owned several back in the late 70's - 80's

Thanks for the comment Perspective Custom... I'm not a stock guy either and never have been. Not a fan of ther bright gold either, thought about a body color match though... I like the look to update with new wheels myself, I'm favoriting #4, what do you like of the choices? -

Nice Photoshop Harry! Well done my friend. I do and always have liked the 8-lugs, it's what i grew up with, my dad owned several Ponchos is the 60's and 70's and while I appreciate the stock look, it's never been my build style in modeling or in 1:1's. That said, I recently acquired a 63 GP resin to build stock of my dad's car he bought new in '63, the only stock build I'll probably ever build honestly. Note my tag-name; RestoModGuy. I've never built or owned a "stock" car, so the different wheels are my style and always have been. So, being appreciative of your masterful rendition, my build will have that stock 8-lug image forever now, thank you Harry, well done! That said, #4 is my first choice too! -
wow! nice race version builds. Well done!

Thank all for the compliments and comments about the "dub-clown" wheels. I've been playing around with a few different styles and versions, would love to have your "vote-comments" on which you think is the wheel set you'd ride with. -
Matt, thank you sir... yes, I too did this one in a few days to keep my motivation for the bigger builds. I missed the body seam fills after I build this one. I too did the graphite gray paint for the CF bits. Yes, the mirrors were a pain and lot's of patients to get correct. I did drill out all the grills areas and replaced with photo etched screen.

Nice looking build! Just the right look

Al, I really like how this turned out bud. The decals are the icing, looks awesome as all of your builds

Wow! Just beautiful work of art, well done

Excellent! The color is perfect and the red interior detail looks great. Well done build and I noticed your extra attention to details. You also seperated the headlamp glass and set it from topside. Appears you also filled in the body seam of the door edge, since this is a two piece body that was glued together at Revell. This is a well detailed and complicated molding, especially from Revell for a Snaptite. I too built this kit and agree with some extra effort to detail these Snaptite kits can look spectacular. (Matt, I will remove my picture if you wish not to have it part of your post)

Thanks Steve... Funny you say that... I'm not a fan of those wheels either, but just getting back in the hobby, I wanted wire wheels and those were the first ones I found that were big enough. Since last year I have acquired new period correct wire wheels that will be going on and will improve the look. Coming soon and will post an update. -
This is probably one of my favorite builds. This is my first build after 40+ years of not touching a model car since I was teenager. It was my passion then and this build re-ignited that passion for the hobby again last year June. Happy to share and see all of your builds as well. This is such a great expression of art we share, post your first "back-in-the-hobby-again" build if you have one. My first BMF work. Didn't have this back in the 70's, love this stuff! The glass gave me a fit on this one. I learned new tricks after this build to keep this from happening. A little engine detail, not really my favorite part of the building process though I built the 92' GP as a tribute to one I owned new in 92. Quite a contrast in almost 30 years how the GP evolved. I grew up with Pontiac's gotta love PMD

excellent build, really like how this turned out. I'm a 60 over 59 fan all day long

wow! just fantastic!

very nice! clean clean build

Fun quick build of AMT's kit. Not a bad all around kit, only problem with fitment was the rear glass vent would not flush fit. Duplicolor Cayman Green paint - Pegasus wheels

looks perfect, nice craftsmanship, especially on this resin
