Introducing LouverWorks, 1/25th scale louvered parts for you vintage car. Along with a few other resin parts. This started when I modified a 1/24 Monogram 32 Ford Louvered hood to fit a 1/25 Revell kit and was disappointed in the final appearance of the louvers. I am now making louvered parts that match the louvered hood sides that are in some of the Revell 32 Ford kits. Along with a few different wheels. Hoods for 32 Fords. Hood/hood sides/gas tank cover for the Monogram 33/34 Ford(ZZtop). Roof insert for Revell 30 coupe Wheels to fit the tires in the Revell 32 Fords(except Roadster). Radir style and Halibrand style. The Halibrand style started as the wheels in the Revell 32 Roadster that fit the extreme big/littles in that kit only and were resized to fit the big/little tires in the Revell 32 Ford 3w/5w/sedan kits with the American 5 spokes. And smooth center Halibrand style wheels to fit Monogram 41 Lincoln tires. I plan to be selling a GSL this year, come say hi. Vendor space should be towards the rear of the room next to Flashpoint Resins. LouverWorks Jason Lookabillj@gmail.com or Instagram LouverWorks

One of my favorite kits. Wish we would see a couple of the original tool parts come back, like the Deluxe dash. -
Traditional 1929 Ford Woody Wagon Hot Rod

Looking good @Dennis Lacy I'm liking the current engine choices best so far. So how many Tweedy Pie kits do you have in the stash that are missing that excellent bellhousing adapter? -

Those springs look amazing. Well done. I too was terribly disappointed with those silly lift blocks in the kit.

Charles, I believe he is up North of us in Washington. IIRC most of his parts are box stock items. Just available without needing to buy an entire kit. What parts are you looking for?

Looking good @Bernard Kron. You know I like the use of the louvers. Jason -
Dan, both the front and rear wheels are my resin castings. The fronts are modified wheels from an original Revell Orange Crate, the rears i made from scratch to fit the Monogram 41 Lincoln tires and then used the wheel center also from the Orange Crate. Makes the front and rear match in a vintage Halibrand pin drive style. The front tires are also my resin castings modified from an original Orange Crate tire. Without modifying, the Irange crate tires/wheels are a terrible fit together, and only fit if the tire is soft and pliable. This doesn't work for resin though, so wheels/tires were modified to actually fit together. Rear tires are just resin copies of the hard to find Monogram 41 Lincoln tires.

Scale Auto Builders Association club challenge build "JDM RHD" Started with a vintage glue bomb that had the wide body parts. Thought I had all the oartscto complete it, but ended up using a few parts(engine bay) from a new re-pop kit. Wheels are resin copies of wheels out of my parts box that were way too wide. Machined the resin copies to a size that fit tires that fit this truck. The RHD dash is a 3d printed piece..

I was not aware the "Hickey" hood had ever been done in kit form. Now I want one too.

41 Lincoln Tires Equivalent?
68shortfleet replied to Calb56's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Drag City Casting used to cast them. As far as I know, I am the only one casting them right now. And I think I have them figured out to not be getting a high number of blems. So, mold life will determine how long I continue to cast them. -
I do have those Halibrand style wheels, they are sized to fit the wonderful tires from the Monogram 41 Lincoln. I have cast a few of those tires too, but they suck to cast and the blem rate is really high. So, I do not really want to be advertising those, and I do not have any cast at the moment. I did recently find a decent wire wheel that fits those same Lincoln tires and I am working on a mold for those too. But, I suspect they will have a high blem rate also. Other things in the works is a four row louvered hood for the new Revell 32 Ford(Rat Roaster re-tool), as the hoods(that you got a couple of) i did have just didn't fit that body very well. However, the new hood appears to fit all the Revell 32 bodies except the old 1/24 kit that Monogram did and has been sold under the Revell name too. Yesterday I started working on a louvered hood for the AMT 34 Ford kits. I'm hoping to use one these before the month is over. I have a couple other items I am working on, but it's doubtful that I will sell any of them. I.E. More Halibrand wheels. Google search "Canepa 32 Ford fordor" Jason

Thank you RRR. That's what I wanted to know. Making sure I didn't have a problem I needed to fix in my casting.

Great looking build. You might have the first of my louvered hoods on a "finished" model to make it to the under glass status. Though I am curious why you had to add length to the hood. I'll have to go back a re-read the build thread.
-
Thank you @Mr. Metallic for the excellent comparison pics on these hoods. These highlight the differences i was also finding in these hoods and why I wasn't willing to sell my louvered hoods as a fit to the RR kit.. Looks like i need to master a louvered hood specific to the RR/new roadster kit. Jason
