Does anybody know a source for So-Cal Speed Shop decals? Would love to build some of their salt flat cars. Or does anybody here make decals?

1/25 AMT '34 Ford Pickup Customizing Kit

That would be a nice bonus. But I would rather deal with flash, then have to overcome red plastic, or than terrible tan plastic that seems like it just keep soaking up primer. -

Oh man, I'll need another one of these. Hopefully it's molded in white this time. -

Well done, I like it. -
Looks great. I like the resin copies idea. Im certainly not going to try and source all three kits to make one engine.

Revell 56 Ford truck history
68shortfleet replied to 68shortfleet's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks for that info. Exactly what I was looking for. Can anybody confirm if the Ed Roth edition has a small or big rear window? I guessing small window based on the previous comments. -
I'm curious of the history of this kit(Not the Foose kit), and the changes to the molds throughout the years. Headliner and rear window come to mind. I'm nearly certain I have seen this topic on here before, but I can't seem to find it and my search terms in Google aren't pulling it up either. Anybody know the history or know a link to another page that has it. Thanks

Willy's pick-up

In that case, I will need two of them. ? I assume you are talking Revell street rod and gasser chassis. -
Willy's pick-up

Hmmm. Just might need one of those bodies. -
Looks great. These pictures helped me visualize how your hinges work too. Wasn't seeing the part being able to slide off the hinge. Thinking "That's going to make painting difficult". Will keep that method in mind for future builds of mine.

I like your build style. Pretty darn close to how I build. I like the copper color. -
50 Austin coupe chassis
68shortfleet replied to 68shortfleet's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I was so happy to see that chassis when I opened this box. I immediately saw the opportunity to build a street rod. -
Thank you everyone for compliments. This was a fun build attempting to capture the vibe of the magazine picture. I did have to change up the wheel style though, the 90's can keep those billet wheels.

Model Car Kit Collection
68shortfleet replied to Ahajmano's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't see a problem. -
I recently received this resin chassis with a 50 Austin coupe. It was in a bag labeled 50 Austin. Can anybody identify who made it? So far I haven't turned any info up using Google. I'm sure I just haven't found the right search term. Also, what kits parts was it designed to use? I suspect it uses Revell 41 Willy's street rod parts.

Monogram kit 1/24 kit. Built from a car I had remembered from a 1998 Rod & Custom picture. Only added parts are the resin wheels(19/23) from Steve Zimmerman, and a wired distributor. Suspension lowering is all modified kit parts. The last picture is of the original magazine picture. Image stolen from Koellefornia Kustoms website. Interestingly, he is a newer member of this site and was actually able to contact him about what issue if the magazine this was featured in.

Well done. Really like the passenger seat gag.
