  1. I agree!!!!!
  2. AMEN!!!!
  3. First off -Very nice build!!!, secondly, I never cared for this car when it was around, but now I kinda think it looks pretty sweet! -has to be the way you built it......you sold me, i'm gonna find one and build it!
  4. What I think is AMAZING, is that you were actually able to properly paint those taillights!!!!!!!......the detail on them is faint, let alone trying to paint the red AFTER the whole piece has already been "filled-in" with body color.
  5. I had the problem once, and discovered I had a metal shaving jammed-up in there from the manufacturing process.
  6. I really miss our local hobby shop......its been gone for years now, and there are no more left around here. What i DO like though, is that at Hobby Search.com, you can see ALL the contents to kits laid out, AND every page in the instructions BEFORE you decide to buy. At least with the Japanese kits you can.
  7. Omni models.com, or Hobby Search.com
  8. KILLER motor!!!!
  9. That's a nice lookin 911!!!!!!..............always liked your diorama too!!!
  10. Fantastic job on the flocking!!!, believe it or not, I still haven't tried it, I usually use super thin felt, or thin plush cloth for my carpets. This whole build is coming around NICELY!!!!!!
  11. Definitely DONT give up.......it looks good!!
  12. Still, its a really sweet kit!!!.....I need to get one!
  13. simply BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
  14. Ist this a kit of one of the "one of a kind" REAL Rapid Transit cars?
  15. Man I wish I could build like you: "they take the time they take" -honestly I keep trying to build that way, but I,ve had years and years of cranking-out super detailed builds every month, then something happened a few years ago, and I was lucky to get one done in a year......that bothers the heck out of me! I have SOOOOO many that I want to build to my present standard of finish that I will never get them done before I die.......that doesn't work for me, especially knowing that I have nobody to will them to, and i'll be buggered if somebody who has no interest in model cars, gets them. This is why I wont waste any time on the bottom of a curbside.
  16. Looks pretty good to me, but I've never done a replica stock American car myself, NICE!
  17. Its about time a GOOD company made a kit of the Lotus Esprit Turbo -the Esprit V8 would be perf
  18. Me personally, I paint the whole thing at once. I start on the bottom edge of the rocker, spray back and forth up the full side till I reach the top of the door, flip it around and do the same with the other side, then I sprat under the front clip -back and forth all the way up the hood, roof, trunk, ad finally all the way to under the rear bumper. I repeat when coats are necessary. I do it this way, because for me I don't get "dry spray", and by the time I get back around I can safely do another coat. If I'm spaying the headliner, that is what I would spray first.
  19. That's a pretty slick idea with the mufflers.......I like to glue all the body parts together first as well, because(as you know), those lower front and rear valances can be buggers to fit, and you don't wanna have to do it with the finished parts. Q: are you going to cut the grills out, and use the MCG inserts?
  20. It was a bit of a bugger to photograph in that aspect as well.....lol -thanks again for checking it out!
  21. Nice job on the stance and grill!!!!......looking great!!!
  22. Not trying to hijack this great post, but it got me thinking about another aspect of "curbside". Take for instance a newer Fujimi kit, hate to say it, but most of their new stuff is nothing but "curbside" How many of you out there still detail paint the undercarriage?......NOT me, unless there is a part that is totally visible from table-level. To me its a waste of time, supplies, and money.
  23. The best way to play it is to NOT give advise unless its asked for, that way nobody gets their nickers in a twist. If you still must give an opinion or advise, maybe form it in the way of a question. I've noticed that under some posts it says, "comments welcome", or something to that nature. I always check that to see if its welcome before I start typing away. Then again, by posting pictures of your work for the whole world to see, you should expect that someone will eventually say something that you don't like, weather it be on purpose, or lost to cultural differences.
