  1. Thanks alot!, thats what i was going for
  2. I think the Aventador is Lamborghini's last beautifully designed car- everything else has been a freak show of cars. This is the Aoshima full detail kit, which is actually what I refer to as a 3/4 detail kit, but with all the wiring and hoses I added, it looks like a true full detail kit. I knew I had to do it with a stealth like look, but the down side to it is that it is very hard to see all the detail and work that I put into it. For example, I painted the interior using 6 different shades/finishes of black, and it took a LOT of careful masking. Body details: I used a different mesh pattern , 3D badging and center caps, blended one piece hood, valve stems, door and hood latches, prop shocks for doors and hood, scratch built hood hinges, and deleted the third brake light and tail light lenses (I think it looks much better without them). Interior details: Seat belts, scratch built floor mats with raging bull emblems, velvet carpeting, door reflectors, anti-theft towing switch, door weather stripping, and photo etch radio face to cover up the weakly detailed molded in one. Engine details: Radiators/inner coolers behind side vents, numerous wires, hoses, wrapped wiring harnesses, compression fittings, heat shield, and cooling fans behind the rear mesh. Hope you liked it! ......thanks for stopping in to check it out!!
  3. These look sweet!!......the red one looks just like the SMER kit I just bought....never heard of them, and I always wanted to do an open wheel from this era, so I bought it. To me it doesn't look too bad, and has possibilities, but its outta my "Normal" type of build, so I'm far from an expert.
  4. Totally agree......i love using Milliput, but best to use it as Richard said.........you can even scribe panel lines in it without it looking like you just carved into clay!!
  5. That was a hell of a great price for that kit!!!!!........my wife got me one a few years ago as a surprise, and it was still sealed in plastic!! She wouldn't tell me how much she paid for it until last year.....$425.00.
  6. Thanks for all the responses, you guys confirmed what I had expected. Just one more thing to add though, depending on the display cabinate you have, most of them still allow dust in -even with doors. I had a cabinate that I added weather stripping to, to totally seal out the dust, AND I still put my cars in individual cases, because from time to time I take them out to look at them.
  7. And i need one of those Airfix James Bond DB5's!!!! -I built the Duaoshua Gold Finger one, but would really like to try the Airfix, or Aurora for that matter
  8. Lately I've been curious about WHY people display their finished models the way they do. What prompted me to think about this was people on this forum posting pictures of their models on a shelf with no protection from dust or other dangers. Also the posted pictures of old built models that were dusted-off and cleaned. It would seem to me that if its a hobby you really love, and spend a lot of time, money, and talent doing, wouldn't you want to protect that piece of artwork? When I finish one of my builds, I wait for two weeks before I put it into its own individual display case(this gives the paint, and adhesives time to totally gas-out), then I put them in a display cabinate....most don't keep the dust away. Not trying to upset anyone here, just curious why.
  9. Very well done!!! -love everything aboot it!!!
  10. Beautiful as usual!!!!
  11. I think it looks pretty darn sweeeet!!!!!
  12. BEAUTIFUL!!!!!, but you're gonna need a bigger garage for those Mopars!
  13. I think you did a fantastic job on this kit!!!!, I have a couple of these, and a couple of the Fujimi ones, and yes, they are Enthusiast kits. If you are still looking for the Fujimi version, may I suggest kit No.9 -its the one I have, but its the only one that comes with a HUGE fret of photo-etch parts!!, it is pretty rare, but worth the time and price!!!
  14. Outstanding!!!!
  15. Beautiful!!!!!
  16. Don't see these built too often.....great job!!!
  17. Perfectly realistic!!!!..............love the hat!!!!
  18. Super nice detailing!!
  19. Tanks ALOT, guys for all the imput and diagrams/pictures!!!. I was debating on whether or not I should do it to my V12, V14, or a V16. Very much appreciated!!!!!!
