  3. Very nice work on a very unusual subject! Well done!
  4. Hey, if they can put a Linda Vaughn figure in a kit, why not Billy Gibbons? Nice job!
  5. Very nice! Always like seeing something higher up the GM ladder than the usual Chevys!!
  6. Very well done! And not one you see every day!
  7. Yeah, I'll probably have to get a couple more myself to kit bash with the Johan 70 442 and the 75 Cutlass to make the 70 442 and 74 Hurst pacers, or as donors if I find a resin caster making them.
  8. OK guys this is my first try at posting pics, so I hope I get it right! There are two grilles, two hoods, two trannys, decals for both the Hurst and 442 versions, the interior is all separate pieces, the lenses are clear or red, uptop and boot, the only need for foil I have spotted so far is on the lock cylinders. In all there are 143 total pieces and is listed as skill level 5. Any other questions I can try to answer! Craig
  9. Hi all, just picked up the new Revell kit, looks like a very nice kit that will be a fun build! Its probably a simple reissue of the 2 in 1 kit from a few years ago with new decals, but I am a pace car fan and Cady decals are getting pretty hard to find, so they are greatly appreciated! But I would have rather the kit be $5 or so cheaper then pay for a figure I will never use. Has anyone else gotten this kit yet? And what do you think?
  10. Your profession really shows!
  11. If you're going for a mild custom look, how about a set of taillights from a '58 Edsel wagon? I've seen a few 1:1 '57 'Birds with them, they have essentially the same big round taillights, but have a boomerang shape for the turn signal that pretty closely follows the fin line of the Baby Bird. They look pretty natural to the car, and look pretty cool! Also, the after market guys should have them, or maybe you could take them from a junked die-cast. Just an idea for you! Craig
  12. Thanks for the run down Mark! That does help.
  13. Thanks for the tip John! I will look into them.
  14. Very unusual subject, Very cool!
  15. Hi everyone! I'm trying to put together a full set of Indy Pace Car decals, does anyone have a full list of the ones that Cady did, or maybe other after market decal makers? I have about 30 of the Cady sets, and can confirm about 15 others I don't have, I would like to find out which other ones may be out there that I don't know about. Any help would be appreciated!
  16. Hey another Pace Car enthusiast! I have about 30 of the cady decal sets for them waiting for me to get the time, money, and energy to put them to use. Good luck with yours, I'll be following you progress.
  17. Hi Tom, I have a whole set of these including the 5 Ts that Gabriel made, except the very early Indy racer and 32 ford hot rod, when Hubley and then Gabriel were making them they came with stickers for the white walls. You could probably get a sheet of plain white label stickers from the office supply store or craft store and cut them as needed, or some flexing agent to mix with the paint like they use on 1:1 car bumpers from the auto supply store or maybe you could get that from the craft store also. Hope this helps.
  18. Just a thought, feel free to correct me if I'm completely wrong, but assuming the 1:1 car was painted with a 3" house brush, then wouldn't painting the 1:25 car with a 1/8" artist's or modeler's brush produce brush strokes that are 25 times smaller? Again, just a thought.
  19. I did the '54 Moebius Hudson as a warm up to this one.
  20. Hi everyone! I have just started on a Galaxie Ltd. '47 Chevy coupe, I also came across a set of decals for the '48 Indy Pace Car that I'm going to build it as. So far I have cut top off and assembled some of the sub assemblies to prepare for painting. I would love to show some pics if I could figure out how to do it! Anyways, wish me luck, any tips or opinions are welcome. Craig
  21. Hi everyone! I got back into modelling about 6 months ago after too many years away (for many of the usual life reasons)! Anyways I hope there is room here for another new guy! Craig
