  1. Sweet! Makes me want to go for a fast ride...

    Mazda RX-7

Very nice, Jim! You probably just sold a few of those for Revell...?
  3. Please do not use 91% Isopropyl alcohol on a resin body. I tried that on my Modelhaus '59 Olds convertible and it turned the body to mush. Luckily I was able to order another body just before Modelhaus quit taking any more orders. See the post here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/112650-1959-olds-98-convertible/
  4. Nice save, Tom. She's a beauty now! Those fender skirts would have scared me off...
  5. Good looking Buick, Randy! That's a very clean build.
  6. Ah, yes, I have used them. I don't think mine turned out as well as yours, though, LOL.
  7. Rex, that's really sharp. I really like the color choices on both the body and interior. Your dash gauges look real; how did you do them?
  8. Another winner, Dave! This probably looks great sitting next to your Vega.
  9. Nice job on that Caddy, Oscar. Those wheels are a perfect fit with the style of the car.

    1968 Mazda Cosmo

Matt, this is the only one I've seen that was not white. It's a 1970 model in a popular color for that year.

Thanks all for the kind words.

Yes, this one's a few years old but still readily available on eBay.
  13. Very sharp Maserati, Matt. I like the color that you picked for it.
  14. Very "Watsonish", Bill. I can picture that on a magazine cover back in the day...
  15. Wow, Dann, that is a museum quality replica. Really nice job on a beautiful subject!
  16. I finished this one over the weekend. It's a little different subject for me, and a curbside built box-stock. The Hasegawa kit was enjoyable to build as everything went together easily, but the metal transfers didn't want to stick and I lost the tiny "D" from the Mazda script for a while. The dash was fun but I trashed the horn button emblem. Since you can't see the dash well with the full side windows I just did a little scribble of fine point Molotow for visual interest. Thanks for lookin'.
  17. Beautiful job on that 'cat, Randy. Great choice on the color, too.
  18. That's beautiful! Man you work fast!
  19. Sure looks like it. That was a rare treat east of the Mississippi back then...

    Yenko vega

Wow, that looks great! I'm really impressed with your paint job, especially the grille detail which is very sharp.
  21. My kind of weather! Lookin' good...
  22. Yep, that was it! She's all apart now. Much obliged...
  23. I'm laughing, now. While I'm yanking and wiggling and getting nowhere the interior, taillight panel and front grille/bumper all fall out, and I still can't get the chassis loose from the body! I know I'll get it eventually but for now I'm gonna give it a rest. Once again, I really appreciate you taking the time to try to coach me through this, LOL. That polish looks like it can really shine some plastic!
  24. But the back won't let go.
  25. did you get it open !? Not quite...It came free in the front.
