    72 Olds

Awesome job! I actually really like that chocolate milk interior... Thanks for sharing!
  3. I agree.. just to sit and look at all the builds, and the creativity... I love it.
  4. Steve, I still absolutely love that build... Fantabulous!
  5. Awesome! Good to know and thanks for the info...
  6. Looking for a bit of insight... Can someone tell me, are these relatively one and the same kit? Is the AMT just the MPC kit rebranded or a different beast entirely? Information, stories... good and horror... about building. Any and all info you care to share. Thank ya much!
  7. I remember being young, and saving the "flag points" off the back of my G.I. Joe's. Save enough and you got to send them in (plus $$$ shipping and handling) and get a free Cobra Commander, Sgt. Slaughter, or the Crimson Guard.. yeah I'm a dork... Allow 8-10 weeks for delivery. I remember being so excited... But over the 8-10 weeks... Or longer... my brother and I would forget all about it. My parents never ranted and raved about Hasbro not calling or letting them know what was taking so long... Im just making a general statement. Not aimed at anyone. Just saying relax, and see what happens before you go bat shiz crazy. I ordered from the Jeremy sometime in the middle of Feb. Haven't heard a thing. It'll get here when it gets here. It it could get here in 2 days, you could order it off Amazon.
  8. small_scale_auto_show, nothing_but_model_cars, round2models, revellusa, model_car_show... for models. 70sstreetmachines and gbodyonly... for cars and a few guitar related things... though I don't get on there often. I just have it to follow my sons highschool band when they post pictures.

    '60 Impala

Welcome to the forum... by far, one of the best there is. Good looking start... Oh how I love Impalas. Can't wait to see more.
  10. You know, that's actually pretty awesome... Thanks for sharing this!
  11. Looking good. Can't wait to see more..
  12. Dang... Revell needs to get hold of these
  13. Happy Easter fellow styrene junkies!
  14. Thanks for the ideas on the top. Definitely gonna have to look into that. You're idea for the Buick is pretty cool... Don't worry, won't steal it... But definitely think that would rock.
  15. go ahead, bro.. it could steer me in the right direction. i actually have a vinyl top from model car garage. But i don't have any trim material for it. I wouldnt even know what size to get for it.
  16. Oh man, I don't even know where to start. I don't know if I want to go muscle car... Pro touring... Grocery-go-getter... IDK...
  17. I think I will. These are definitely not in the norm. Wish when I was younger and dumber I had sanded out the mold line. I'd do it now, but I don't don't want to screw up the paint job.
  18. Dig that color!! Good job! I love the testors one coat stuff. May have to try this!
  19. While looking thru storage to find a hood for a fellow forum member... unfortunately didn't find the hood ...I stumbled upon this kit. It's not been open in around 20 years, or so. Most of kit is painted and some pieces assembled. But apparently I was working on this one, when I decided to call it quits... The body had smudge marks, I assume from touching the box, so I pulled out the scratch-x went to town. I don't remember what color it's painted... kinda looks like a blackcherry... but I'm diggin the outcome. So much so, I believe I may finish it up. As always, thanks for looking...
  20. Been a busy weekend... LOTS of yard work and hanging out with the family. My son wanted to drive around yesterday... he's still got a permit... so we loaded into his soon to be 97 Lumina, affectionately named "Spot". Spot's missing quite a bit of paint... hit the backroads, and him and myself cruised around for about 3 hours... good times... Right before bed last night, I decided to go a head and wire up the engine.. just my second wiring job, ever. I'm not gonna worry about plumbing this one. Since I've never done it, I'm gonna practice that on a rebuild of an old kit from the junk box... As always, thanks for looking...
  21. Dan, those are some wicked awesome BC's.. I'm not real big on white guitars, but that one sweet!

Very nice Cuda... Nice job in the paint. Thanks for sharing!
  24. That is one sexy superbird... I love when you see one that's classy, yet with a custom flair..not the typical blue or purple. Thanks for sharing! I finished one of these last year in a candy blue type finish. I have a couple more in the stash, that I want to build. I wanna build one to replicate (only better and more detail) one that I built when I in my early teens.
