Wow... this looks like it's coming together nicely.

Len that is a snazzy looking Vette. Congrats on that! I may hit you up for some pics depending on which direction I go.

Oh that's awesome... Post a pic if you'd like. It's relevant... And I'd kinda like to see it. I'm going to be doing a lot of testing fitting to see if I can attach all the body components first and still get the chassis installed after.

Well thanks to some decent weather this week... and a couple shorter than normal work days... I actually got to spray some color on this. The body is Tamiya Champagne Gold (TS75) and Testors Extreme Root Beer Decided to try a couple different approaches this go round... The engine was primed in black and then shot with Tamiya Metallic Orange (TS92) I'm guessing I may have put too much orange on, cuz it didn't end up shading any like I had hoped.. oh well, we'll try it again some time... Shot the wheels with Tamiya Flat Clear followed by their black panel liner The frame is shot with Tamiya Nato Black (TS63) Still have to pick out the details.. maybe... I really like this though, so I'll definitely be picking up some more... So that's where we stand. Glad to have finally gotten some stuff sprayed. Now maybe I can get something put together... Stay tuned... -
Having to make a paint order today, I was looking to see what else I may want to build on my Monogram themed builds this year. So adding another kit I've never built to the mix Let's see where this leads... stay tuned...

Well work was a little lighter than normal this week, so I got to get out a little early than normal... only worked 8 hr shifts this week... so I got the body primed and painted through the week. Unfortunately, I started painting with a partially used can. Shaking it I thought, yeah that's enough... It started to sputter and I ran out just before finishing the wet coat. Internet buying here we go again... -
Definitely glad to hear you're on the mend buddy

Nice job I do believe... I use tamiya weather powder on mine when I do this... put some on the areas you sanded through, then cover the body in flat clear. After it dries I go back to adding power to areas... I'm not an expert by no means, but it works for me -
