Unfortunately there are dents on the roof from too much glue with the windows so I am going to leave it as it is,I would have liked to get it apart to do more detail but the interior is really glued in.and almost got thrown in the trash as it would have broken trying to get it apart. Did not have the heart to trash since it's 60 years old so it's going back together as found, the numbers on the doors are not the correct class as I am building it but it's going to stay.

Does anyone know what year it came out -

Found two more sedans to reassemble but will have to be next year,I have reassembled or restored at least 10 40s from that big lot of parts I got a couple years ago. Just did not have the heart to throw them away even though some were a little rough,I have about the same amount of 32s to put back together so I have my work cut out for me.

That would work

Oops looks like I forgot about a battery, will have to see if I have one.

The paint is a Testors gold.

It's been awhile since I seen any so I do not remember what they had and most likely changed over the years. Anything will work as I have nothing.

Just using parts I have in stock to build it.

Looking for the headers to use with the optional Olds engine.

Found the correct hood to go with the grille and is getting painted.

I had a couple body and sedan fenders from the 60s that I put together to build a 40 standard, only modern parts on this build are the bumper brackets and rims. I have never seen that exhaust so I presume it's from the early kit.

Never noticed the difference in the valve covers before and presume the chromed stock were from the early kits.

Starting to look like a car but out of flat black to paint the running boards so time to go to the hobby shop, found two different sets of headers for the Buick engine and presume the ones that exit under the running boards come from the early kits.

Fenders have paint and will be together this weekend, found a molded in gray Buick engine so it's painted and will be going in. The only non vintage parts are the bumper brackets that came off a Lindbergh chassis

Paint is terrible so it's getting soaked,I found the complete chassis and most likely came with it but was never used. Hood is glued to the body and grille shell so it will not get a complete engine. -
More parts found so along with the coupe this one is getting built, this one and the coupe are getting built with parts and paint I have in stock and not going to run to eBay for missing parts. Not much detail and quick build while I come inside to cool off on these hot days, engine is going to be the optional Olds engine with injection.
