I got the new magazine yesterday at Barnes & Noble’s. I thought it was exceptionally good.Even if you don’t like muscle cars, restomods and pro touring cars, there are some good tips in it for any car modeler.
I got the frame, engine and trans painted on the Papa Truck I’m working on.I have been working on some other projects so this one got stalled. The frame is Duplicolor gold lacquer.Transmission is Duplicolor red lacquer and the engine is Tamiya Gloss Aluminum.Should have some more updates next week on it.
Is there an aftermarket source for surfboards? I know there are several kits that have them.I really don’t want to buy a kit just to get the surfboards out of them.
I just finished this up last night.A replica of Rex Whites’ 57 Black Widow Chevy. It’s the Revell 57 Chevy Black Widow kit.The paint and clear are all Testors lacquers. The decals are Powerslide. The wheels and tires are from PPP.I modified the front seat and added a scratch build seat bolster.I lowered it a little bit.The engine is from the kit with the exception of the air cleaner which is from the AMT 57 Corvette kit.The bungee cords and hooks are craft items from Hobby Lobby.I started it over 10 years ago and I’m glad to finally finish it.It turned out OK.Thanks for looking.
