  1. JT, First off, WELCOME! Second, post your first and last name in the signature part of your controls. It's required for this forum. As for your questions. I haven't looked, but if their is anything out their for this car take a look at these two places: http://www.hlj.com/ http://hiroboy.com/catalog/index.php These guys should list what's out their or what's coming. I've got the kit as well, but not sure what I want to do. Box stock or mild after-market parts. Chris
  2. Thanks for the update Steve! I plan on getting one each. They look very nice. Chris

WOW, what a clean build of something you don't see built very often. Great work Mark! Chris
  4. To be quite honest with you Marc, I'm surprised it took you this long to get to that GTO! LOL I really like the way it looks. The Kranze wheels fit perfectly. The paint scheme will really pop on this build as it does on the 1:1. Keep the updates coming! Chris
  5. Jim, I look forward to your build. I too have one of these in my stash. Not sure I'll go to the extent you are, but I'm really interested to see what changes you make and incorporate. Chris
  6. Darin, I'll have to agree with everyone else. I would fix it and leave it as is. This is one of your first major jobs that I have ever seen. I know if it were mine I would be using it to compare my newest works. It's almost a modeling icon ala Darin Bastedo style. In the end though, its yours to do whatever you want. Part of the fun of plastic. Chris
  7. Scott, that is gorgeous! What a clean build. Your CF work and engine details are phenomenal! Thanks for sharing it with us! Chris
  8. I've since added this to my Miami Vice collection. The Revell of Germany Ferrari F430 Spider. This was used in the Miami Vice Movie. Just a few more to go. Chris
  9. That looks great! Like Ismael said, you don't see many of those built. Nice job and clean build! Chris
  10. Carl, beautiful crisp colorful pictures! Thanks for sharing! Chris
  11. WOW, that is super clean and captures the essence of the Firebirds of yore. Verdoro green fits that car perfectly. I love it! Chris
  12. I absolutely hated this Revell of Germany Ferrari F430 Spider. It fought me all the way. Just when I thought things were looking good it would rear its ugly head. Now, I've settled for a shelf model. It will look just fine for my shelf. I need to buy a Fujimi kit. This was built as my Miami Vice Movie car. Paint is Grigio Silverstone Metallic by Cobra Colors. Tamiya paint interior and basic decals from the sheet. I have to say that what upset me the most was all the work and time I put into sanding mold lines and cleaning the body to only have them pop through the body after I polished the car. Here are the pics I took. I'll get a few outside pics later. Thanks. Chris
  13. I'm Chris and live in Minnesota. Married with three boys aged 13, 14, 1nd 15. I've been building for quite some time, over 10 years now but had always had an something going since age 13, I'm 37 now. I'm intermittently affiliated with the local model club as time permits. As you all know, their isn't much time. With work and home I'm happy to get 15 minutes before bed in my hobby room. I build what I like. At this juncture it seems to be anything German, Italian and new. Although this new Revell Mercury sits on my workbench... Chris
  14. That looks great Ismael! I was wondering about the wheels. You did a great job with what you had. Tanks for sharing.
  15. Kurt, the work is absolutely beautiful! It may be fighting you the whole way but you really seem to have it all under control. Very realistic. What kit(s) are you using? Great work. I look forward to the completed truck! Chris
  16. Hi, and welcome! Before Jarius gets on you, you may want to add your name in the signature part of your controls so everyone knows to whom they are speaking. On to your question. I have a couple of the Porsche kits myself and have acquired some images via ebay. One of a 2004 and a 2005 PCGT. You can find them by clicking my link here: http://public.fotki.com/73superduty/porsche/ Or go through ebay and look for them. Chris
  17. I misinterpreted the question. Just as Marcos has lined out for you above, that is the way to deepen the panel lines. Bob, only one use on the lines? I take it you must scribe them out a bit then? Might be why I go through so many pens! LOL Chris
  18. I think, that's gorgeous! Beautiful looking paint! Super build too! Chris
  19. I'd also like to add that after I wash the body, I start with the panel lines using those pens. I primer the body and do panel lines again. After each coat of primer and maybe the first few light coats of color and then stop. Let the last wet coat cover and that should deepen them and makes the line just a tad darker than the paint on the car. Chris
  20. Dave, this was talked about last week. Here is the link: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.p...ic=6797&hl= I hope it helps! Chris
  21. That is sweet Lyle! I'd like to have it parked in my driveway! Chris
  22. That's awesome! Great build, cleanly done, nice look. You did an excellent job. Thanks for sharing! Chris
  23. Sorry Bob, I had to laugh out loud, just once though. Good one Gregg! Chris
  24. That's wild man! WOW! Lots of hours into the paint scheme? Great job! Chris
