  1. Bobby, you'll be happy you did! Probably the best modeling money I have ever spent. I bought a Paasche booth a few years ago. Just a tip for you when you start using it. Line the bottom of the booth with either old newspaper or what I like to use, wax paper. Keeps the booth floor much cleaner and of course clean up is easier. I usually change it out after each project. Don't need expensive wax paper, just the cheap stuff, but you'll be happy you did. Congrats! Chris
  2. That is really cool. I've never seen one before as in before the re-issue. I've been going back and forth on whether or not to get one as it is sort of out of my subject area, but this, looks fantastic and fun! Great work! Chris
  3. Looks like Revel of Germany will be offering a 1/24 bus: http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=3050 It's a start! Chris
  4. This is probably as close as your going to get and you'll have a lot of work on your hands, but it could be done: Their might be a die-cast out their as well that could be modified. Chris
  5. I'm going to go with my little Toyota Corolla WRC. It ranks as one of my favorites, but it was also the car that had some firsts for me. Applying all the decals, the first time using P.E., cutting out real rubber mud flaps and just plain detailing the interior as close to the real car. It taught me a lot of things and was a pleasurable build. But, with every new build I now try something I hadn't before and each new built finished kit is my favorite. Chris
  6. Fantastic paint Marcos! It does look different without the spoiler, but I really like it. Not over the top. Chris
  7. Are you talking about the little avatar's? Just find a picture you'd like and reduce it down to the correct size(I can't remember it now, 150x150 pixels I think). Save it to your hard drive, goto My controls and look for the section to upload an avatar. It'll pull the avatar from your hard drive. Just needs the file path name. Don't forget to add your real name on the bottom as well. Per Model Cars Rules. Welcome aboard! Chris
  8. Not too bad! What kit did you use? Aoshima or Tamiya? What color did you use? Any more specifics? I built the Tamiya kit with the P.E upgrade parts Tamiya sells separately. Good work Chris
  9. I hope Revell will pop that Z06 out as a promo, the paint might be tough to do though. Chris
  10. Jon, Does the compressor have a water trap and adjustable pressure regulator? If it does have these it should work just fine for your model building. The Iwata silver jet is a nice little compressor and should work just fine. Does it have automatic shutoff? Another thing you can do is actually have this pump into a holding tank and run your air-brush from the holding tank, but you'll still need the adjustable pressure regulator as well as the water trap. Plain and simple I would keep it and use it. Good luck Chris
  11. I wonder if this has anything to do with Tom Lowe and AMT. Still waiting to hear the press release. Chris
  12. Any one of the four MPC annual Trans Am kits (70-73) Probably not feasible due to yearly corrections. The MPC Flamethrower firebird funny car. Arnie Beswick had one too that was pre-painted in a pearl white. It too was a Firebird Funny car, can't remember the name now though. Also would like to see the: AMT #2065-200 MERCEDES-BENZ 300SL GULL WING COUPE Pro Street Coronet Super Bee 1966 Nova Street Machine - by AMT (ERTL) #6769 copyright 1991 That's what I'm looking for! Chris
  13. Merry Christmas Marcos! I love your wishes Lyle, that's funny! Chris

    2006 Viper

Wow, coming together nicely! Looking forward to seeing the completed car.
  15. Albert! Glad to you made it here. Would it be too much to ask that you post some pictures from sunny Cali?? It's cold here in MN! Look forward to your straight forward postings! Chris
  16. The Satan wheels were the first wheels in production. The nicer Challenge style wheels came along later. So the kits were based off the very first production run. Look forward to your progress! I have the Fujimi, Revell Ag and Revell USA kits. I need to get one of them built soon. Chris
  17. Ismael, AWESOME! That's very cool of them to do. That'll make any one a happy customer. Your a lucky guy. Congrats. Chris
  18. That's so cool! It really has that nostalgic box art look down. Nice save! Chris
  19. Just as Bob said, ebay motors is the place to go. I get most of my reference off of their. In the meantime here is a link to my fotki page with some 599 pics. http://public.fotki.com/73superduty/ferrari/599_gtb_fiorano/ Chris
  20. I'll add my two cents. I love Tamiya sprays. I have had nothing but excellent results. I will agree that red is a little more difficult to work with though. If you guys are talking about MM from years past, no, but if it is the new MM color coat system, I haven't been able to find any in my neck of the woods so I cannot give any recommendation. Finally I love to airbrush my paint. Even MM 1/2 oz. bottles look fantastic out of the airbrush. Primers, you can't go wrong with Tamiya, they work well with almost all brands. I still use Plasti-Kote brand primer if I am airbrushing automotive style paints. Chris
  21. That does look good! One of those kits you don't see built very often. Please keep updating your build! Chris
  22. Ismael, I cannot believe your transformation as a builder. The work on this eagle is unbelievably by far your best work to date. I am in awe of this build and your craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing it with us! Chris
  23. Words fail me......
  24. That is very cool looking. I love it! Fantastic job! Chris
  25. I too use the Tamiya tape method. My GTO was taped off and single stroked one way with Testors Semi Gloss Black: My Nissan was taped off completely(entire body) and sprayed with Tamiya Semi Gloss black: I have had good luck both ways. Just need to figure out what works best for you, but, Tamiya tape is a must! Chris
