  1. Nice work on the Ferrari! Glad to see it's not red! LOL Duster looks like something I see around here. Chris
  2. Jim, My 15 year old son, well, he dislikes cars. To him they are point a to point b mechanical devices. Well, he saw this thread and literally out loud said, "that is the sickest vette he has ever seen". Now I gotta find a way to get decals... Thanks Jim! LOL Chris
  3. Another big factor is lighting. You can never have too much of that. Here's a link to my hobby room. http://public.fotki.com/73superduty/my_hobby_room/ I just put shelves over the top of my benches to store models. Also have a bunch of them stored underneath the benches but off the ground. Chris
  4. Jim, That is going to be awesome!!!! What you have gotten done so far is tremendous! Fantastic artwork. You could probably make a few dollars selling a few of those sets. I know I would buy some. Ismael is going to love this!! Keep us updated. By far the baddest looking C6-R. Chris
  5. OH MY, that is beautiful. One of the ultimate Ferrari's.... Congrats to him. Chris
  6. That color accents the curves beautifully! I'm a sucker for oranges on the right car. This one definitely fits the bill. Great build David! I look forward to your CGT! I've got a couple of those kits, just haven't gotten into wanting to build it just yet. It is among my most favorite Porsche's, next to the timeless 928. Chris
  7. Simon, Congratulations!! Your cars are beautiful and deserving. Thanks for all the pictures. What an awesome display. Look forward to your favorites as well as 1:1 pictures. Chris
  8. Fantastic color combo's. The wheels are what do it for me. Nothing like a high powered muscle car with little poverty caps. A tough look. Great work. Chris
  9. I'm with Ismael on this one. This kit has a lot to offer all ranges of model builders. I'm your basic box stock builder and it builds great out of the box and looks fantastic on the shelf. I think that if someone comes out with the latest decals that were running on the car a few weeks ago I'll definitely be buying another. Just keep Ismael's site as reference if you are doing a super build. Chris
  10. Wow, that's gorgeous. I can't fathom selling it on the bay though. Thanks for sharing. Chris
  11. Jake, Excellent work! I really love the look of the Honcho. Nice weathering! Chris
  12. Wow, man you have a knack for these trucks! Great project! It sort of reminds me of the Dodge Concept truck, T-Rex, only Hummer style! Can't wait to see you finish this. Chris
  13. Fantastic work! Any chance you could show us how you do the tarp with foil and tape? Chris
  14. Well, I have to disagree with you on the GTO comment. I didn't know a Sunbird came with a 6.1 liter LS2 Engine with 400 hp.! The '05 and '06 versions looked the best. I think the cars were great, but not priced right. The build quality was second to none. GM's downfall is in quality as well as design, that I can agree with you on. I think a lot of people missed the boat on what GM was doing with the GTO. But hey if we all liked the same thing then we really would be boring. Just wanted to say my part as I really love the GTO. I really love the Monaro's as well. Chris
  15. Nice job Billy. That is a pretty car. Chris
  16. That looks great for a quick throw together. I'll agree the intake sits too high on the engine. Seems to be a problem on all of the GTO engines which in turn allows the hood to not shut. Great color choices. Chris
  17. Great Job! I tried to build one of these a few years ago. Unfortunately the red body was really overpowering. I wanted white. I should have bought some sealer. The body was botched a few times, but I did finally get it done. Yours looks great and it looks great in red too. Those wheels really do it. Great work. Here is my finished white one(with a few others): Chris
  18. That's cool! I would have loved to have seen the Duesy engine! Really nice detail Jarius. Chris
  19. Oh Yeah! That's gorgeous! One of Lamborghini's most beautiful cars and yours is no exception. Chris
  20. Super clean build! I believe you captured the look very well. Thanks for sharing! Chris
  21. Darin, the scraps you have left over, do you mark them or separate them so you know what it was or came from? I think that would be the hardest part. Knowing what it came from, but if it looks the part then use it. Chris
  22. Hey Thanks Dave! Glad to see you over here! Look forward to your GTO and I hope you'll post some progress on here! Chris
  23. Darin, thanks for the insight. I appreciate that. Although I am mainly a box stock style builder I definitely appreciate the time work and effort some of you guys put into art like this. For that I am envious. I'm probably short changing myself, I usually do, but I take baby steps. In order for me to do work like that I have to have been able to have done one thing to one kit and another to another kit. So on and such. Then when I get the chutzpah to actually do something of this magnitude I have the skills acquired and can do it. Again, I look forward to more updates just like you have shown. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess many others look and learn too, but just don't say anything. Great execution so far. Chris
  24. That looks really cool! That first picture in your last post with the body off reminded me of an ATV. Looks good with or without the body! I love that Honcho kit! Chris
  25. Darin, your work these last few years have really gotten me to take notice. Although I may not say much I have to admit I read all of your posts. Why? I actually am able to learn something. This build is just another example of learning. You truly have an out of the box foresight I can only wish to have. Who would have thought you could blend that many cars into one? Absolutely cool stuff you are doing. I'm really envious. I have to admit I have a phobia of cutting up plastic I paid for. You may ask yourself why. I am scared I may screw it up, wasted time and money. However, looking at builds like this offers more than meets the eye towards modeling. For that, Thanks. I look forward to this build. What are you going to use for power? I happen to have a left over 612 Scaglietti engine..... Yours if you want it. But I better check and see if I built it first. LOL Any idea on color yet? What about wheels? LOL, I know it'll look stunning. Chris
