I bought some nut and bolt organizers for about $5 on sale or so. The drawers are big enough on my bigger one. The other one you see has a couple big drawers and the rest of them are small. So I just organize wheels in one, tires in the other, and wheels with tires in another. Photo etch and glass as well as all the others each have their own drawer. I also have a 2 drawer storage unit that houses unused/built bodies. Body storage(to the left in the white unit with *2 Pack* emblazoned on it): Decals and transfers are stored in 3 ring binders with acid free plastic protector sheets. Kit instructions are saved in a model box. Chris

The closest thing to household paint I use on the models is Krylons Semi Gloss black spray. then I only use it on chassis'. Otherwise I stick to Tamiya/Testors and Cobra colors or Zero Paints. Chris

It's always nice to get a few things like that when you can splurge a bit. As a side note, just so you know, you can use coupons on clearance items at Michael's. Next week Sunday will have a 40% coupon and the week after that their will be a 50% off coupon which can be used on clearance model kits. So those $9 clearance kits will be $4.50 now! At that price you know they'll be bought up! Chris

I like the versatility of a dual action brush myself. With that said you can get a really nice Badger 175. I like the bulk feel in my hand. Easy to use, easy to clean and great Badger customer service. On the other hand you can go with an Iwata. Very nice brush for the coin but not enough left over for other items. Do you want siphon feed or gravity feed? Siphon meaning it sucks paint out of a jar. Gravity meaning the paint flows through from the top. Single action? Meaning depress the lever and get both air and paint at the same time. Dual Action? Meaning push down for air and pull back for paint, more control but needs finesse as well. Are you looking at adding a compressor? Hobby? Semi Industrial? You'll need a pressure regulator, water trap and all the proper fittings. Especially if you buy one without these items. Compressed air gets to be expensive. I know that periodically you can get 40% off coupons for Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Michael's carries Badger brand brushes while Hobby Lobby carries Iwata and little Paasche. That'll save you some money too. If you can purchase online I'd definitely do that. You can get them for about cost at the right places if you look hard enough. At the very least go to your LHS and see what they carry so you can at least feel it in your hand and check it out before you commit. I started out with a really cheap Testors brush way back in the day before I got my Badger. I learned using a dual action and it works for me. Just do your homework and ask questions. $250 should get you a great brush and some extras. Also do a search on the forums as their are a lot of airbrush questions asked almost weekly. Chris

Alright, I got a really nice pm from our esteemed editor about the quality of my pictures. He gave me a few pointers and this is the result: I have to say that I am quite amazed. I took one picture like this without the macro on and although it turned out nice it wasn't as sharp as this one. So, now I'll go put the shields on and take a few more pictures. Chris

The planets aligned just right and the paint gods smiled upon me. This has to be my best paint job to date. When their isn't any snow and it's warmer I'll take some outside shots. I have stuck to my traditional non-red Ferrari's status. This is a Fujimi 575M painted with Cobra Colors Blu Nart Metallic. Clear is Cobra Colors Ultra Gloss coat. Car was rubbed out for most of yesterday. I'm still undecided about adding the Scuderia shields. Interior is a mix of Tamiya paints and Testors tan flocked spray with tan flocking. Crazy Modeler accents throughout as well as Acustion P.E.. The brakes, foot pedals, rear tray belts and interior pocket net. The rest of course is built straight from the box.
