  1. That is very cool! Nice work! Chris
  2. Wow! Great projects! All interesting and very cool! Chris
  3. I collect a little die-cast, mainly 1/64th, but I am very selective in what I buy. I also collect auto related movie posters. I don't have many, but my crown jewel is my Bullitt Movie Poster. That's about it. Chris
  4. Marc, this Trans Am rocks! I love the black centers. It just sets the red off! I'm loving this build, loving it! Chris
  5. I've always loved this car. Your build really brings out the style. Great work! Chris
  6. Jairus pretty much summed it up in a nutshell. Some of the kits Dave has been releasing have a little more into them. He'll find a tool and see some of it is damaged. He has paid for some of these tools to be repaired. But basically, it's about like Jairus said.
  7. Absolutely gorgeous! The Porsche Carrera GT is at the top of my list for a favorite exotic sports car. It's just plain sexy. Your CF work is fantastic, because of that you'll just sold me on the template. Look forward to it being finished. Chris
  8. That looks awesome! Nice work! Chris
  9. Serious, but not in series....LOL Yeah, just got this today. Chris
  10. Thought you truck guys would like to see this: Chris
  11. We'll more than likely see these come from Maisto before or if they ever make it to styrene. I'm not a huge fan of either, the caliber is cool, but I suspect that their are other more interesting and fascinating cars out their that need to be kitted. No disrespect intended, just stating my opinion. I've got a few cars I'd love to see kitted, but I know they won't be. Chris
  12. The weather was almost perfect if not a little cool and windy it would have been. Anyway, a nice selection of stuff, here are a few to whet your appetite. More can be found at my link. Click Here for more!
  13. Marc--That looks great! How are you going to do the reverse lights? Just paint them or decals? Anyway, I look forward to your completion on this. By far my most favorite car and years, 70-73 were just so cool. Chris
  14. Thanks Darin, I'll have to look at my kit, but I think you are right.
  15. After 40 years in the business, my LHS is closing, Saturday being the last day. I've worked their 4 years and off and on for them during the holidays when needed. When the owner and I talked about the shop closing, Great Planes and Tower Hobbies were one main point of interest. A small LHS cannot simply compete with Tower Hobbies. Just as Darin mentioned, he hit the nail right square on the head, Tower offers the same items online at less than cost to the LHS. I don't know of anyone that can compete with that and stay in business. I'm on the wait and see list. The owner and I talked about this acquirement today. His view was not good. His speculation was that Revell would be exclusive to GP and Tower. I have to also agree that prices may go up. Say goodbye to Steven's and Horizon carrying Revell as I don't think it would make them any money. As manager, whenever we ordered items, we hit Horizon first and GP as a last resort. This is today in the now. GP is still iron fisted and tough. Unfortunately we'll all have to wait and see. I can only hope good things will come, but how hard will it be to get these good things?
  16. *tap* *tap* *tap* is this thing working??? I was curious about the wheels and tires being used? Any insights? Resin cast? After-market's? Chris
  17. Gray, fantastic work so far! I'd leave the engine alone as well as it looks great as it is, however if you are more comfortable adding a few more details then do so, it will enhance the complete final product, my opinion only. I love the wheels. Makes the car look tough. Look forward to your next update. Chris
  18. Charles, Interesting project! I'm more curious about the wheels. What are they and who makes them? Thanks! Chris
  19. I love to sell to my neighbors of the north! They are and have been the fastest payers and the most courteous. I sell worldwide and enjoy doing so if only to see where the next item goes. Like Latvia. Ever heard of that place? Well, they like to buy Aoshima wheel kits! LOL Steve, I'd be happy to sell to you if you sell to me! I fill out the short form for foreign bidders, takes about as much time to fill out as my printer takes printing out the address, although the printer always beats me.... Chris
  20. Ken, That is dead sexy! Keep the progress coming! Chris
  21. Hey guys the problem with Lexan paints is that most of them are flat, not really a big deal. However, they will make more work for you to polish. The reason they are flat is that the RC guys spray their bodies on the inside and the nice shiny paint is actually the outer shell. Anyway, their is a flex like additive in the PS sprays not unlike for our real 1:1 cars. At any rate you'd be best to try it out on a scrap piece. Chris
  22. Hi Pat! Thanks for joining us! Chris
  23. Jon, My sentiments are exactly that of Ismael's. Glad to see another modern car builder. Their are a few of us. Although I know some of the classic builders like to look at the modern stuff as well. Anyway, your Ferrari is absolutely gorgeous. I myself am an OOB builder, but have been slowly adding p.e. and extras here and their. I look forward to more of your work here at MCMF! Thanks for joining! Chris
  24. Larry, Have you received your Fujimi 599 yet? I'm hoping to have mine here in a few days. I'll post some side by side comparisons if anyone is interested. The more I look at it the more I love it. Chris
  25. Brian, Cool! I have much experience with SD-455 Trans Am's. I've owned two of them myself. A 73 and a 74. Let me know about that paint when you are ready! Chris
