Now as someone who was a teen in the 90's like I was, hearing this several months back when my boss was playing the Motown sound satallite station at work was a pleasant surprise. It actually impressed on me by how well these guys covered it 20 years ago! Dang, can't believe that cover is now 20 years old too.......man do I feel old, besides just the back ache!

Overslept by quite a bit this morning then did something to pull my lower back at work. Hopefully the 2 Tylenol I hust took will hold me over until after work, then I have a nice, long relaxing drive to the nursing facility Mom is in to try and recouperate further.

Believe me, it seemed like each of Mom's did before that IV too!

This/\ This too, I don't remember them new, but am still old enough to remember them slowly rotting to death and a kid and teen, outside of the Vans, Vettes, TAs, trucks, and the Monoco cop cars, there is nothing else interests me from that era.........and keep in mind, I bought at least 1/2 a dozen '88 Shelby Z Daytonas when those were last reissued!

I think Mom has most of you beat, she's been having a bunch of lymphedema related issues, some of which almost took her a couple weeks back (this last month has been the emotional equivalent of a ride on NASA's Vomit Comet, let me tell you!) One of the things they did to try and get fluid out of her is to give her an IV medication that is meant to pull fluid out of her tissue so she can "expel" it. From the time she first went into the hospital right before Easter to the time she was admitted into a nursing home a couple days ago, she "expelled" around 150lbs of fluid!

Don't like it? Lobby for the cheaters to get the Pete Rose treatment, no matter the sport.

This, in the end, it's only a game and IMHO, not worth stressing about. After the last month's events surrounding Mom and what is yet to come, I could care even less than I did when this whole mess raised it's ugly head months ago.......and even then, it wasn't even a rat's tookus!

This, or it could be built as a replica of the one my Parents had, factory 440 Six Pack/4-Speed/Dana 60 R/T car with color matched steel wheels and Dog Dish hubcaps that they ordered new in late '69. After they took delivery, the first thing Dad done was have the R/T badging removed and either replaced them with 500 badges and/or had the holes filled so it looked like a lesser small block or 383 car...........intil he blew your doors off that is

That's the funny thing about opinions, the only vehicle from that era I have much interest in is the Dodge Monoco/Plymouth Grand Fury like was kitted for Roscoe's Police Cruiser, I really have no interest in the rest. I'd prefer to see more modern cars and trucks kitted or reissued that the kits of those cars reissued or kitted new.

What did you see on the road today?

Considering the age of that car, "beating the kids that knocked out the windows with a stick" might even constitute elder abuse at this point -

One from the new kit would be nice, but be prepared for another round of crying over the not yet fixed fender flares if they do. -
I had the notifications on my phone set to use a Challenger Hellcat ringtone offered by SRT, which is the car revving up and launching like I use for the actual ringtone. With Mom being in the hospital again, I've always got an ear out for it when I'm not there. Problem is, when the videos I'm tipically alerted to pop up, it panics me thinking there could be an issue with Mom and I may need to run for it. Usually, I've gotten these alerts while at work, but also got two in the middle of the night/early morning, which REALLY scared me! Needless to say, that tone has been changed this afternoon!

My sister got a call from Mom this morning, apparently the doctor is happy with how she's doing and the IV diuretic they have got her on to try and reduce her water retention caused by some of the other meds is working extremely, extremely well

A bright yellow Lancer Evo at the gas station, also filling up on E85, kid driving said the car was putting 450hp at the wheels on the stuff. Then within a few blocks of the hospital Mom is in, I saw a dark blue pre-war Plymouth 5 window coupe and a mid 60's Stingray roadster! -
Lack of motivation to build

Kind of the same here, we had a relative come to town a couple weeks back, so we had stuff to do around the house that kept me from tinkering more with that bubble top '57 I had started as well as kept me from starting thst R/C K-5 Blazer scaler kit, then with Mom going into the hospital the night before Easter, then into a rehab/nursing home by week's end, only to be returned a week ago tomorrow night to the hospital, the most I've done to either kit is stare at them for the short times I'm actually in the same room with them. I'm kinda begining to with I had bought the Ready to Run version of the K-5, red paint, ugly wheels, and all instead. -
Honestly, even if it just needed a bumper, it's probably still a total due to age. I'd probably see what it would cost to straighten out the frame, you could probably get a bumper and the mounts for a decent price. Happy to hear the new filter worked though, was it on the pump's pickup or an external?

Thanks, the last week or so has been like a ride on NASA's Vomit Comet..........and I really wish the freaking plane would land sometime soon!
