Had two bozos in a beater "tuner" CRX pass me in a construction zone that is limited to one lane each direction and no passing......and in a curve.

Saw that black and gunmetal GMC Typhoon again today! -
Jensen is (soon to be) Back!
Joe Handley replied to chunkypeanutbutter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I do see some late A-Body Cuda in the back of the roof on the clay mock up, although I do think that the rump needs to be chopped back by about a foot to make the lines look right for a Jensen. -
I worked for the post office 25 years and . . .

Wonder what would happen if you stuck a mail Jeep front and on a CJ or YJ, other than confusion on the onlookers part. -
540,000 miles, an Intrepid Adventure
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I don't know, 540k, some of which was off road, can't be THAT fragile. -
I've asked them in the past when they call to try and do that for the 200 if they would be interested in selling me an extended warranty for my 17 y/o Jeep with over 160k..........boy do they say no and hang up fast

Yup, kinda reminds me of a RX8 with the rear 2 feet of an early S10 bed added to it I saw, minus the talent that went into that build. -

Wonder if he'd take scrape value for it. -
Beeg getting calls for while now, trying to get me to update the Sirius radio in the 200 (had to hang up on that jerk), buying an extended warranty for the car (even though I did that when I bought it), claimed they were BCBS-IL insurance calling about my health coverage, ect........ Their timing was just weird this time, literally within 30 minutes of me leaving the dealer, they called the house and claimed they were that dealership.

Suppose there's an IRS under there?

Wow, I've worn out tires before, but daaaaang! -
This one happened to me today, took the 200 to the dealer for a simple oil change, BS'd with the salesman I bought it through a bit while waiting, then went to the grocery store across the street to buy something for Dad before heading home. Walked in that door and ran into an elderly friend and former co-worker and his wife, so he and I chatted some too, then went on to get what I was there for and leave. By the time I got back to the 200, Dad sent me a text that the dealer had called home looking for, so he gave them my cell number and let me know. I went over to see what they needed (hoping it wasn't a screw up on their part or payment on my part!), and nobody called, not service, the salesman, receptionist, cashier, or even the lady who calls the next day to see how things went. Dad even forwarded the number and nobody there recognized it. I thanked them and left, but that kept bugging me, so at my last stop before getting home, I Googled it.......it was a scam number and had been used in other states too.

Been running into too many people who seem to pull out in front of me, even if the lane(s) between them and me is empty, and take their slow sweet time getting somewhere near the posted limit in front of me. Usually it's been cars, but Sunday night, I had what was probably a newbie on a black and chrome, V-Twin, bagger style motorcycle do that.......on a 3 lane wide road and then he more or less rode it straight in front of me before turning into the outside lane I was driving in like we were at a 4 way stop on a residential street.

Brutal Grand National
Joe Handley replied to Quick GMC's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's not a special model like the SS or Z-28 though, it's just a Camaro. If that yellow Regal is in fact just a Regal, no big deal, but if it was a GN or GNX, kinda makes it less special than if it had a Turbo V-6 in it, even if it was one of the new 3.6l GM V-6s with a turbo or two. I'd be saying the same if it were Syclone or Typhoon with a V-8 swap. -

What appeared to be the interior door panel of a New Beetle laying in the middle of the road?! -

My thoughts exactly! -

Doesn't painting it yellow and putting a V-8 in just make it a Regal with loud paint and a killer motor? -
Actually.......it's a racecar!

Seems to me that the only real use for wrapping or dipping is police evasion ala Cannonball Run 2 or the US version of the movie series Taxi. -
Or we could do it Jeepspeed style Can't argue with this one!

Took my 200 out to get washed yesterday after work, then since I have the day off, I snuck over to my Sister's job and stole her Challenger just long enough to get it washed for her birthday today...........she's going to be a bit confused when she gets off work and walks out to find it all nice and clean
-
My sister feels your pain, her Challenger picked up 2 paint chips and a chipped windshield on the trip she and her BF made to and from Disney World in it.

Saw one of those Ferraris in dark blue when I left work today too! -
That K5 is built so you can put the 2 speed from the Hammers in it too, not sure if that will happen, but it's nice to have the option.

Check you LHS if they carry stuff from Horizon Hobby, Vaterra is one of their brands. The HobbyTown I work for has another one of these kits, plus a ready to run, on the shelf.
