  1. Give him a little time yet, we haven't finished with winter yet
  2. Things come apart much more easily when there's no rust!
  3. Well, here's how I ended up going with the '57, still got some work to do on it to make it work. Any suggestions on how to trim the bubble top without ruining the clear plastic.
  4. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
  5. That has to be an experiment in exhaust tuning, kinda like the cross and long ram Chrysler intakes were on the intake side.
  6. The top has a severe twist, the pillars were bent just far enough over that I couldn't get things to line up the right. I did find something that will be wilder than a radical chop though, not sure if there have been any '57 Chevys done this way in any scale, but it will be outta this world if I can pull it off!
  7. Looks like the roof and pillars are too far out of shape to save, got a new plan of attack, bopefully I'll have pictures up of it later.
  8. Especially if they're made like the Haribo Sugar Free Gummies are made
  9. I think Wheaton is a bit more centerally located than far southwest St. Charles is when compared to the other shows I was able to find out about.
  10. That's typical, even if it's being held in the red brick building across from the white cinder block building it was in this year. There have been plenty of times I could barely make it up and down those isles, especially when I get there that early. I believe that not only are those two of the 3 largest building at the fairgrounds, they are two of the bigger facilities in the immediate area if you include Dupage Convention Center and Pheasant Run by the Dupage Airport.
  11. I didn't take any, although I thought of shooting some of the grass field I parked in.
  12. From what I've read, this thing also has a supercharged 400ci Chevy under the hood too
  13. Two more from the scratch and dent pile at work
  14. ConAir and The Rock, IIRC.
  15. The top may have to come off, I will be searching for a resin Carson Top on Stevens International's site before long, pretty sure I saw one there the other night.
  16. I'm seriously thinking going with a cantilevered roof, ala Lil' Coffin! Not sure, one of my bosses has been taking all of the snapper kits from the scratch and dent pallets we got and though she accidentally crushed it. Told here that would take a bunch of weight beyond what she was putting on it or an angry significant other like Bill was talking about a while back. Dad thinks it had abunch of weight on it while still hot or while in a hot container/trailer. And yes, free or significant discount is always good!
  17. Got a freebee Revell '57 Chevy Snapper out of the scratch and dent stuff at work, some bodywork required The roof does appear to be straightening out now that the A-Pillars and Vent Window Frames are gone "thumbsup"
  18. I'm actually pretty tempted to see how it would look if it was had a cantilevered roof like Lil' Coffin! Not like it cost me anything so far!
  19. Got a freebee Revell '57 Chevy Snapper out of the scratch and dent stuff at work, some bodywork required
  20. It's a shame too, I grew up with and learned to drive in those and always thought they had better lines than of the current model, which replaced that body style in '96.
  21. I'm surprised how solid that Edsel looks!
  22. It's the same here too in Suburban Chicago, FullPower, but not just the older G-Vans. All the vans of that generation are starting to die off from things like old age, rust, mechanical issues, ect and have probably been replaced by crossovers and large SUVs.
