I do like those Buicks too, but more as Kustom material.......they always seem to go slow when I get near one in traffic, might give it a shave then go low too
I remember seeing something a while back while poking around on line at this stanced thing. Sounded like these guys were going for looks and don't care much for performance......even though they put all these performance parts on the cars. Sounds like some of them even get annoyed with the domestic tuners (in this case, the SRT4 and Cobalt SS owners) because they actually want their cars to perform instead of looking like it came out of a Tuner issue of CarToons.
I was kinda surprised it was in the smaller building this time, but I did find a few things to buy for other projects. Couple things I saw that I was interested in were current stuff that I can get with my employee discount for less........unless we end up finding some on the above mentioned pallets, and well
Hey now, if it's got the looks, who cares if it can corner
That said, if it handles as bad if not worse than it looks (and with that rolling stock, it looks pretty bad), I'd be surptised if it isn't more dangerous than a poorly maintained beater.
In the process of finding this pic, I also found out why Elisabeth Shue from CSI looked familiar, even though she hadden't been on anything I've watched until joining that show..........turns out she was the sitter in this movie!
Honestly Pete, I'd have no problem dropping that kind of coin to put new rocker panels on my Jeep, or putting a stoker I-6 with the Edelbrock Jeep head in it.......and it's 17 years old and probably worth no more than what Summit wants for just that head!
Thanks, I'll take a look at the flier table then. My bosses bought 10 pallets of scratch and dent stuff from Great Planes, mostly plastic kits and when they asked what type of show Dupage is, they were wondering what other area shows there were. We've done the same with refurbished airsoft guns at the flea markets at the Kane Co. Fairgrounds with some success and they might want to try it with these kits too besides selling at a discount in store and through ebay like we do the referb guns.
Lol,got some winter exercise yesterday. My boss bought a bunch of pallets of scratch and dent models from Great Planes that finally showed up right after I got to work yesterday, the truck driver and I about froze unloading them and had to use my Jeep and a borrowed set of jumper cables to power the hydrolic lift on his trailer since the battery was dead. That had be a funny sight to all who drove up on us!
