  1. Dang, don't have the education for either openings.
  2. Picked up one of these tonight with one of the Stampede parts before leaving work Only been wanting one since it was available as well and just now gotten my hands one on.
  3. Bought a few RPM Brand parts for my Traxxas Stampede recently, one that is a brand new part, and the rest I've been wanting to do for a few years now, but finally can spend the $40 on them.
  4. Lucky, winter finally hit here!
  5. What would explain the Fusion I mentioned then, also just confirms my preference for solid axles too!
  6. Could be, earlier this year I was talking to a guy that works at the local Goodyear store about alignments (planning on getting the 200 re-aligned when I put new rubber on it) and if that car had been in their shop yet (at that point, just my Jeep for tires). He was telling me that they had a new Fusion come in with all 4 tires looking what sounded as though it was a whole lot like that car,if not worse..............and it didn't even have 10k on the clock yet! He was wondering if the factory even bothered to check the alignment or if the associated parts were the right length before they even went on the car, it was so far off!
  7. We've been having to put Mom in the hospital ever 3-6 months the last few years due to medical issues and the hospital has a nice 2 level parking structure. Dad and I usually try to park in the lower, covered, portion when visiting Mom while she's there and there's 2 entrance/exit points, one on each end, each with it's own path, as pictured. Either last January or the one before that I went to visit Mom after work and drove my Jeep down the ramp to get to that parking area, only to find a big Toyota SUV blocking the entrance due to it being PARKED right where you drive in......as seen below. After I parked, I took the above pic and reported the vehicle before going on to Mom's room and it was gone by the time I left. Well, Mom is back in the hospital again, "second verse, same as the first" as to why, and when Dad and I left tonight, I spot what's in the below pic, point it out to Dad, we laughed, I took the pic, and we went home and then got some dinner.
  8. I think Mopar has a couple Pistol Grip and I know they offer a T-Handle shifters, my Sister's R/T Classic has one of those! As for the Pentastar, my 200 has one that's about 20hp shy of Bill's.......more than enough power.......in a good way!!!!!
  9. Coming home from work tonight I watched some poor guy in Versa nearly get double teamed by idiots on the road with a single 1/8 mile stretch! First he nearly hasan idiot in a new Highlander pull into the lane he's in, while he's still using it, just to make a right hand turn, then at the intersection, another idiot in a first gen Santa Fe pulled a right on red right infront of the guy!
  10. Honestly, I haven't been in a Michael's in years, although I have a better selection at home than the last one I was in had.
  11. Saw that beater Beetle again today.
  12. I've been thinking of buying some of the Valeo acrylics line we started carrying at work a few years back. Sounds like those are really nice paints.
  13. Thinking I'm finally over what hit me Christmas Eve night! We had Portillo's last night and I mistakenly ordered a Big Beef......and only finished 1/4 of it and wasn't sure it if was going to stay down. Just finished it and still had a piece of pumpkin pie and some potato chips.
  14. Considering they've killed off Pactra (which annoys me greatly) and Floquil/Polly S (which annoys me to a lesser extent), that makes sense, but their lacquer lines have kinda eaten into enamel sales from what I've seen at work too.
  15. The chromed grill works with that gunmetal grey nicely!
  16. Has their been a change in EPA regulations that might have forced Testors to change things again?
  17. Used to have neighbors with a Jeepster like the first one that was bought new by them. Finally had to stop driving it when the master cylinder gave up and no service parts could be found, even by somebody who knew Jeeps probably better than most in the entire midwest!
  18. They are still making enamels, we still get them on a regular basis at work, ut I haven't bought any in some time to use, so I can't say one way or the other on the thickness issue.
  19. Having run high percentage ethanol fuel in my Chrysler for the past couple years, I find that I prefer the smell of that over regular pump gas, and especially over the nitromethane R/C fuels. Funny thing about it though, is that I worked for a drug store back in high school and it's no worse than many on the alcoholic beverages I had to mop off the floor there (with the exception of Corona and red wine on concrete, that wine on concrete smell was nearly was bad as vomit!), while the exhaust scent is comically reminicent of breath of many of the customers who made working Friday/Saturday/Sunday and holidays "interesting".
  20. My Sister's '14 R/T Classic is Plum Crazy, it is a really nice color on those, and I found Testors One Coat Purplicious lacquer is a near match for this new version of Plum Crazy too.
  21. No booze or drugs, I can see that.....excess speed, maybe.........driving while stupid, way high on my list of causes!
  22. Just saw this, thought it was clever.
  23. Kinda surprised it did that well!
  24. Other than a bit of an illness (worked a bit too much the last week or so, exhaustion came home to roost last night), we haven't opened anything yet.
  25. Nope, just tired and sore...........and still have a couple things to wrap once I get the ambition to go upstairs...........hope I don't.take another nap!
