  1. Ford also dumped their sponsorship Bob Chandler's Bigfoot team a few years ago in favor of Profesional Bull Riding.
  2. That is better, but with the exception of the C4's, most Corvettes were pretty swoopy. Kinda looks like something Bruce Wayne would race on the side though.
  3. I wonder if Force saw it coming, he's been at least partially sponsored by Traxxas and So-Cal Auto Club for a year or so now, they even produce R/C versions of all 4 of his floppers. http://traxxas.com/products/models/electric/6907funnycar Considering the R/C companies pay for licensing to the sponsors just like the plastic model companies do, It's not like they were just spending money on these 1/1 cars when they did get money out of the R/C guys that bought these cars.. Wonder if he will be changing the brand of car the body is made to barely resemble.
  4. Eh, still reminds me of a bar of soap, only with stickers.
  5. I'm pretty sure that is, sounds like he's started building a RWD, 16v Daytona Shelby Z drag car now too!
  6. They look great in when in Shelby trim too, even if there weren't any actual Turbocharged ones produced. They even look good in the burnout box
  7. 2 Ton? Was it the one in Australia with the Merlin engine in it? Those should be less than my Jeep and 200 each weigh!
  8. That is the advantage of that Plasti-Dip stuff I mentioned Nick, you can paint that whole car for a couple hundred dollars and not even need to mask it or have any special place to do the painting.
  9. So long as the car is built to run, sure, but if it's a different "Pro-Fairgrounds" car, no.
  10. I saw a late model Golf like that, I'm still trying to figure out if he was fixing a wreck or trying to make it look like that VW Callico Rabbit commercial.
  11. There's one that isn't all that far from Harry or myself, maybe 10 minutes from home for me, not sure for Harry though.
  12. The more I see the, the more I like them.....and I've seen a few of them out in St. Charles and Geneva! Talked to a customer a few weeks back that has one with the big battery in it and he told me that they took it on a road trip to Detroit and made it all the way from here to Ann Arbor, MI on one charge! If I had the money, I would love to have one as a daily driver!
  13. Forgot about this one until reading about it cleaning up at NHTSA crash tests
  14. That original post kinda made it sound like it was still owned by McQueen at the time it was totalled.
  15. I'm glad they didn't, they look bad enough without the nonsense done to this one added on top of it.
  16. Trust me, that curve and rake don't help that much.
  17. Is it me, or does that hood and grill protrusion remind anybody else of this guy?
  18. The same can be said about a bar of Dial soap Minus the headlights and windshield though
  19. That wouldn't be too bad once you ripped out that $5,000 stereo, sold it, replaced it with something more reasonable, then used the money from the stereo for more off road parts to put on the truck.
  20. Haven't heard of "swoopy" being used to describe "smooth". Although that Porsche I wouldn't refer to as "swoopy" so much s I would "bar of soap". Now the style that James Dean was killed in would be a different story
  21. Great looking Hilux Joe, still building the custom Tamiya Semi's too?
  22. Now that you mention it, that is almost the Concrete Barricade Beige Metallic Toyota Camry of Hot Rods. Nothing truely offensive, yet nothing to make you want to stop and look either............just safe and almost boring. Never thought I would refer to a '32 Ford as boring?!
  23. 500hp 4.5l, Twin Turbocharged, V-8 and RWD http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/cadillac-elmiraj-concept-500-hp-21st-century-eldorado-013419949.html
